BOSL RFL Sales – 2.5 More Days Left!

VoguE – Serina Mesh Gown (BOSL RFL Exclusive)

There is only three days left to buy any of the exclusive items sold with the BOSL RFL campaign.  All items are sold in the participating stores as well as the BOSL Mr. Virtual World Theater where the grand final pageant of Mr. Virtual World took place.

Each participating brand has given this event one exclusive item that will only be on sale until July 14th, 12 noon and 100% of all sales of these items will be donated to Relay For Life.

Today, I am introducing the exclusive mesh dress that was made for this charity event by Zalyn Bailey of VoguE.  This is a lovely black and white mesh gown that has sweet fused with chic.

Here I did a makeup for a print work, meaning that is good for blog or magazine pics but of course, this gown will look amazing with more realistic makeup.  I would wear this with deep red lipstick and maybe just an eye-liner…simple and chic classic makeup.

Xanadu's latest release, Jumpsuits "Kenya"

If not, you must!  I saw this outfit posted by Xanadu on her flickr page where she posted a pic of this outfit as a preview and omg…I fell in love! ❤

So here I am, blogging “one” of the four I now have in my inventory.  Xanadu Damiano released this jumpsuits in so many variation that it made decision making a very hard job.  They vary not only in colour but also in the print design and theme so you can imagine what a headache it was to pick just one!

Did I say retail therapy works to relieve any stress/hunger/irritation/frustration/whatever-symptom-you-may-have?  So here it is, Xanadu Jumpsuit “Kenya“, which is the one with a tiger animal print.  It’s just so cool and yet it can look really stylish!

It comes with a narrow belt that uses the same fabric but here, I wanted to create a spring fashion, so I replaced it with a pale olive-green sash that matched the colour of my hat.  Then completed the look with a yellow bag as an accent and makeup with green eye shadow.

But of course you can wear this without any changes also.  Both the top and bottom are mesh so you will need Linden Lab’s official Viewer 2 or any third-party viewers available that works with mesh to see it.

Agnes Finney's My Precious, Forever Yours

Forever yours…what a romantic phrase this is.  And it’s not just a phrase of words.  It is the name of a new gown that was released by Agnes Finney’s My Precious in February which is, of course, the month of romance.

To style this lovely gown, I used a similarly sweet makeup tattoo that is available from Noya Designs that has a version with a beauty mark and I also used a gorgeous jewelry set from Virtual Impressions that use diamonds and rubies, intertwined into a rich and lovely design motif.

Inspired by the Academy Awards – Orage Creations, Royal Blue

The long awaited Academy Awards have been announced!  And in the current cinema environment where high-tech graphic technology such as CG, VFX and 3D are becoming the norm, a french silent film depicting a relationship of an older silent film star and a rising young actress, The Artist, has won The Best Picture Award!　　The film also won awards for best director, best actor, best original score and costume design.  Wow, I’ll have to see this film!

Watching news of the Academy Award inspired me to create a Red Carpet look and a new gown that was released by Orage Creations with its Italian designer, Elettra Gausman, was the perfect gown I was looking for!

The deep midnight blue, which is one of my favorite colours, gave this gown an elegance that had no match but with added glam brought on by the over-sized ruffle decor that gave spice to an otherwise simple and classic design.

I matched this with a new set of jewelry just released this past weekend by Virtual Impressions, Majestic Jewelry in Diamonds on Platinum.  The rich floral motif of this jewelry set was more than what I was looking for to complete my Red Carpet look.

Meiling, Creme de la Creme Shirt Dress

Meiling, a very popular designer in RL who originated from the Caribbean, is bringing her RL spring/summer collection into SL again!  The Creme de la Creme Shirt Dress is one from this collection and so cool that I seriously want it in RL!  I would so wear this for real!

It’s a very simple shirt dress but crisp and clean using natural fabric.  It is, however, a very avant-garde design with two huge pockets that make this dress so high fashion.  And this simplicity makes this a very versatile design to style!

Here I styled it using blue accessories with blue as the point colour.  But you can do this using any colour and of course, you can make it all white too.

Wedge shoes with spikes from Gok in blue were a perfect match for this high fashion design and here, in order not to destroy the crisp and clean look, I used a men’s hair and makeup that uses very pale colours in hue of grey.

Clean makeup and the use of men's hair give this a very clean and sharp image.

AZUL Saleena Gown Worn With A Corset

AZUL, Saleena Gown in Amethyst & NV Corsetry, Medusa

In my bi-weekly regular live TV program that I host with Second Life TV in SL Japan, I wore one of the latest AZUL gowns that designer, Mami Jewell created for the Miss Virtual World beauty pageant in December last year.  I then added a corset named Medusa from NV Corsetry which was the brand we featured in my show on February 8th which was last week.

All the corsets from NV Corsetry are created by jewelry creator, Alexandra Nichols of Dahlinks Jewelry, which explains the amazing detail that you can see.  And then, her business partner, Khurt Vhargon, handles the scripting of all corsets where he allows not only a three-dimensional editing of the corsets but also allows others to edit the corsets for you, which is the same system as the one Bax Coen Boots are adopting.  This means, even if you are not sure if you can edit the prim corsets yourself, you can always ask for help!  All you have to do is message Khurt and he will be more than happy to help you edit your corset to fit you.

This combination of the Saleena Gown and the corset became one of my favorite looks and I have worn this quite often since last week.

Since the name of this newly released corset is Medusa, I matched a hair from Wasabi Pills that is decorated with a snake.  By the way, I lived in a sub-tropical country for about two years as a child and I happen to love snakes!  I used to pick up stray snakes (hmmm, I guess all snakes are stray snakes…) and asked mom if I could keep them, to my poor mom’s horror.

From Vero Modero’s Winter Collection – Mistwalker White Gown

Vero Modero, Mistwalker White Gown

Vero Modero has a line of new winter collection items in the store, many of them white or red and lovely to wear for a formal occasion during this winter.

Out of many I decided to wear a gown called the Mistwalker White Gown which is a gorgeous silky gown with a pale animal print top, giving it a silvery look to the over all colour.  Mind you, there is a red one too for those who like to have more colour!

The gown also has feathers attached at the back and together with the large standing collar and shoulder cuffs, it adds a lot of character to this slender gown.  As the name suggests, there was this somewhat mysterious feel to this design which inspired me to make a non-realistic look and this is what I got.

For makeup, I used three different tattoo layers that were all from different creators but worked great together to make this mysterious look.  I tried to avoid making it look too gothic or cyber as that will go against what I wanted to do with this outfit.

Fun And Exciting New Pants From Sascha’s Designs

Sascha's Designs, Paisley Pants Dark #2 Pants & Bliss Couture, Ruffle Coat in Grey

Sascha Frangilli of Sascha’s Designs is releasing a very hot and exciting pants series!  It’s called “Paisley Pants” and comes in four amazing “dark” colours as well as another four “light” colours, which is eight colours in total!

Obviously the “light” colours tend to have a more spring-like feel but it’s been really cold this winter and a bit of a spring feel is something we can all welcome as long as we are living in countries that have cold winters.  For me, it’s been a tough cold winter this year and I am totally in love with the bright colours of these pants to brighten up my day!

Here, I styled one pair of pants from the “dark” series and one more from the “light” series.  For the “dark” pants, I styled it with one of the newly released fur bolero jacket from Bliss Couture for a more winter look.

The Ruffle Coat from Bliss Couture that I am wearing also comes in eight colour variations: blue, grey, magenta, noir, olive, pearl, purple and red.  With so many colours to choose from, I am sure you will be able to find one, if not more colours, that you like!

These fun and pretty pants are a great way to add some colour to our winter fashion!

I made the second look using a pair from the “light” colour series.  These are very fun to style too as you can easily pick one colour from the pants texture and add that colour as a point colour to your look.

Gizza - Dark Feather Series II

Gizza’s Dark Feather Series runs from I to IV and here I am introducing Dark Feather Series II.  All four outfits in this series are very cool black outfits with feathers used as ornaments.

Here, I wore it with a plain black leggings and ankle boots from sYs Design.  sYs Design is well known for it’s cyber fashion items but non-cyber fashion can use a lot of what they have too.

I also wore a new jewelry set released by Kunglers from it’s Kungler Extra brand, which is their jewelry line that is sold in another building from their clothes.  The Kungler sisters are really pulling out some interesting jewelry pieces and if you are looking for some pieces with impact, this is definitely a place to check out.

VoguE – Steffi Gown

I know some countries have Boxing Day, but now that Christmas is over, I am finally finding some time to post about a beautiful gown from VoguE.  I had taken pictures of these about 2 weeks ago, but I had something that happened in RL that got in the way and I wasn’t able to post them earlier.

This is a gown that was released from VoguE very recently and I loved the graduation of the two colours on the skirt.  Zalyn Bailey, who is the owner and the designer of VoguE, has prepared many colour variations which all have this feature with different colour combinations.  And the all-ruffled top is just so cute!

I also liked how it has this skirt that is completely long from the back and side views, and yet, when you look at it from the front, it looks like a sexy mini dress.

VoguE also has a series of Glitter Makeup in tattoo layers which I am totally in love with.  Although it’s called “Glitter Makeup”, it’s not too glittery and each glitter eye-shadow colour comes with 4 different shades of lipstick, which makes it very “easy to use.”
