An Exciting Brand New Fashion Brand, Wildchild & Muse

Wildchild & Muse, Nara Gown & Fan

Eliza Wierwight has been in SL business as a well-known furniture creator with her high quality furniture and art pieces.  If you have even been to Frolic Mills’ resident or facilities that he owns, you can see a lot of her creations that decorate the rooms.

Eliza is now expanding her talent to fashion!

I am posting two of her first releases in this blog and the BOSL Fashion Feed as the first blog posts introducing her fantastic fashion creation.

The outfits are mesh based.  But Eliza is attaching regular and/or sculpt prims to create designs that she envisions.  Eliza is a natural with art and you can see this in her outfits as well.  Every outfit she sells always comes with fun and interesting accessory pieces that the wearer can choose to use or not to use.  Some could have hats included or jewelry pieces.  With others, it could be some other objects like this fan I am holding in the pics.

Eliza’s outfits are all art pieces in wearable forms while being a delight to the eyes.  She will be gradually releasing the huge stock of outfits she has already created in an outfit corner she prepared inside her store.  So take this opportunity to take a look at her furniture creations while you are there.  I can promise that you will be deeply impressed with the attention to details and quality she achieves.

The gown I wore here is called Nara Gown, which is a name that was taken from an ancient city that actually exists in Japan.  The gown is elegant but also very bold in its design and I was pleasantly surprised at the realistic quality of the ‘obi (sash like belt)’ she has created for this gown.

Wildchild and Muse is a new brand that is definitely worth watching.  Be prepared for some fashion-gasms!

AZUL Saleena Gown Worn With A Corset

AZUL, Saleena Gown in Amethyst & NV Corsetry, Medusa

In my bi-weekly regular live TV program that I host with Second Life TV in SL Japan, I wore one of the latest AZUL gowns that designer, Mami Jewell created for the Miss Virtual World beauty pageant in December last year.  I then added a corset named Medusa from NV Corsetry which was the brand we featured in my show on February 8th which was last week.

AZUL, Saleena Gown in Amethyst & NV Corsetry, Medusa

All the corsets from NV Corsetry are created by jewelry creator, Alexandra Nichols of Dahlinks Jewelry, which explains the amazing detail that you can see.  And then, her business partner, Khurt Vhargon, handles the scripting of all corsets where he allows not only a three-dimensional editing of the corsets but also allows others to edit the corsets for you, which is the same system as the one Bax Coen Boots are adopting.  This means, even if you are not sure if you can edit the prim corsets yourself, you can always ask for help!  All you have to do is message Khurt and he will be more than happy to help you edit your corset to fit you.

The amazing details of the build as well as texture of NV Corsetry corsets

This combination of the Saleena Gown and the corset became one of my favorite looks and I have worn this quite often since last week.

Since the name of this newly released corset is Medusa, I matched a hair from Wasabi Pills that is decorated with a snake.  By the way, I lived in a sub-tropical country for about two years as a child and I happen to love snakes!  I used to pick up stray snakes (hmmm, I guess all snakes are stray snakes…) and asked mom if I could keep them, to my poor mom’s horror.

Resuming My Blog! Yay!! – MEILING, A RL Designer Who’s Crossed The Line

Wow.  It’s been so long since I last blogged and I am finally resuming my blogging activity!  Whoot!  The reason why I had to stop blogging was because my graphic card wasn’t keeping up with the development in the viewers and every time I tried to take pictures, my screen either froze, turned black or I crashed.  After several attempts spending literally hours just to take a few pics, I finally had to give up.

Now I have a new PC, new graphic cards and I’m back to business!

I had also been a bit busy recently as I was helping Meiling launch in SL.  Meiling is a very successful real life designer from Trinidad & Tobago who is not only very well known in the Caribbean for her couture designs of real life garments but also known for her innovative and very creative marketing skills.  She is probably the only Caribbean designer in SL and brings with her a new trend in this virtual world of very wearable and stylish designs of items we can now buy in this virtual world from her real life collection.

She is very different in the following points, in my opinion.

  1. Meiling’s designs have been inspired from the great couture design talents from Japan with its simple yet modern designs but she has added to this, a Caribbean touch, and has created a whole new line of designs that is very unique to Meiling.
  2. She will be following the real life sales method of introducing seasonal collections which will be retired periodically.  This means, one collection will only be available until the next collection is out and her designs will not be in the store for a very long time.  This is going to be very different from most of the sales direction with SL designers where most of the items will be available for a much longer period of time.
  3. Meiling’s designs are SL versions of her real life designs.  This means they will all be very realistic rather than SL unique designs with lots of fancy prims.

Today I am introducing one of Meiling’s newest releases, the Noir Mystere Dress which was an iconic dress that was actually shown in her RL collection. It is a very simple and yet very stylish and modern design that reflects Meiling’s policy as a designer that “outfits are to show the women and not the women showing the outfits“.

A New Italian Designer

I was checking out a store which I thought might interest me yesterday but unfortunately it was not what I had expected. Disappointed, I decided to look around as it was a sim I had never stepped foot on and it was always interesting to see places that were new to me. If good, I thought, I would make a landmark so I could come back later.

I had already been let down so I wasn’t too enthusiastic. So I strolled from one store to another taking quick peeps and moving on to the next. There I found one that somewhat intrigued me. I went inside, looked around and thought “oh this might be a good store.” I found a few outfits that I liked but for some reason, none of the vendors were set to “buy.” If one of them was not functioning, it could be a mistake. But none??? I looked around for a “coming soon” sign or something to indicate that it was not yet opened but I found nothing. So, as usual, I decided to contact the owner and leave a message. Maybe she might tell me when it will be ready.

Soon I got a message from dolceluna Myoo, who was the owner and designer of “My Dreams” together with her husband rover Villota. She tp’d over to the store and told me that she had other stores and took me to two other stores, one of which was her main store. It was a huge two story building but still only filled half way on the first floor. To my surprise, she was a new designer who just started setting up her stores about a week ago, officially planning to open in February. To add to my surprise, she said she only started making outfits a few months ago! But for a new creator, the number of outfits she had in the store and the level of her outfit quality was quite impressive. If she is this new and can create this much, just imagine 6 months down the road?

dolceluna was from Italy and unfortunately, we had to communicate with the help of a translator but in spite of that, we had a great chat.

Let me show you one outfit I got here which is called “Diamond Red.” There was a black and blue version which, as you can see as in this red set, is not totally blue but rather blue mixed in black. I loved how the red was mixed with black in this one also to give it a subtle red look and how she added prim parts that do nothing but add sparkles to the otherwise very simple gown. But the simple form of the gown enhanced the effect of these sparkles and I just loved it!

I wish dolceluna and her husband rover the very best of luck!! I will, for sure, come back for more!

Introducing Chantkare: A Rising Star!

I met Applonia about a month ago when I paid a visit to her store. Immediately, I fell in love! In fact, I fell in love so much that I decided, on the spot, to trash another article I was writing for a magazine and decided to write about her and her instead!

Applonia Criss, whose store is called “Chantkare“, is a brand new store that opened just this September. She, in fact, started making clothes in SL this summer! So yes, she is VERY new. However, her designs were already showing signs of uniqueness and style. Skill wise, I am sure she will get even better. But even with what she already had in her store, I could tell that she had a talent to see style and design unique but attractive clothings.

Earlier today, I visited her store again and I was taken by a huge surprise. Not only did Applonia have a lot of new designs, she even changed the whole layout, interior and displays in her store! She also had a small collection of jewelry, bags and men’s items! I asked her “Where do you stop?! I can’t keep up!”

Well anyway, I took these pics back when I first met her, which was about a month ago but I could not publish them as the magazine for which I wrote this for had the 1st right of publishing and I had to wait until the magazine was out. So now, I am introducing you the store and the pics here as I couldn’t wait to scream it out. lol You might be wondering what “Chantkare” means and so did I. My curiority defeated me and I just had to ask. She told me that it was a word that meant “stylish, fashionable, upbeat, modern and fun” all in one word and the style she aims for or likes is a bit “european”, sophisticated but always fun. And fun they are! She uses lots of colours but never too much and always adds a twist to her designs that make them look so interesting and unique. I really can’t wait to see her designs 6 months down the road. I must say, I am almost afraid to see how many items she will be adding. I said it before and I will say it again. “I can’t keep up!!!!!”

And I have MORE exciting news for you! Applonia will do her very first show with us at Ewing Fashion Agency on Dec. 14!! This will be the very first time “Chantkare” will be seen on the runway. I will post details here as the date approaches to stay tuned!

So without further due, please take a look at some of her stunning designs.

Chantkare – Polka Dot Red Chiffon

Chantkare – Citron Gown

Chantkare – Morocco Ensemble

Chantkare – White Pepper Dress with Scarf

Chantkare – Motogreen

I will also be posting some of her latest designs soon! So again, stay tuned!

A New Wedding Gown Store Opens!! (One Free Wedding Gown To Go!)

Are you planning for a wedding soon and looking for sweet wedding gowns? Maybe you also need outfits for the bridemaids?

I came across Wen’s Wedding Dreams, a store that opened just 2 weeks ago by designer and creator, Wen Winkler. She is also the VP and designer of OMG Inc., a store that sells a wide variety of outfits for both men and women that ranges from formal to casual as well as accessories such as hats. But Wen decided to open her own store to offer her wedding outfits to the dreaming ladies who were looking for lovely gowns to make their wedding day a day they will never forget. Her gowns are offered at reasonable prices and if you can’t find what you are looking for, she is happy to talk and do custom work.

I have to admit, I wasn’t looking for a wedding gown specifically, but since wedding gown stores often have nice regular gowns also, I thought I might drop by. After I saw her collection, I thought it might be nice to introduce her store to all those ladies who are looking for nice gowns at reasonable prices.

So here are two of her creations. The magenta gown had a great texture that showed the creases and the glitter part so well, while the wedding gown was simply so sweet! But now, after I purchased these, I realized that I had nowhere to wear the wedding gown!!!!

So…………

If you wish to have this gown, please tell me when your wedding date is planned for and send me a notecard and of course, your full name. The first one who sends it in will receive this wedding gown that I am showing here in my blog. If I get a lot, I will not be able to respond to all the applicants, so if you don’t hear from me, I am sorry but the gown has already been sent to one very lucky and happy lady. I will send this gown with my best wishes for a wonderful wedding and many happy and romantic days to follow.

Now let me show you what I got.

Fabulous Summer Fashion & Skin!!

It’s summer. A great season to show off some colours, colours and colours!

That’s how I was feeling and was so excited when I found this outfit in Freda Fine Fashion, a store that was like a colour palette with fabulous dresses that had such awesome colours. And I am one of those that just don’t think throwing colours is good. Colours have to be used in good combination and this is what was so great about this store. Of course, there are many outfits with conventional colours too at Freda Fine Fashion, but if you want to be different and stand out in a crowd, a combination of bright colours that is done in a tasteful yet daring style is the answer.

A day or two after I found this outfit, I came a cross an absolutely great skin store that just opened a few months ago, Lion Skins. I friend of mine had told me back in April or May that her friend was opening a skin store so I did know about a new store that was just going to open. But in all honesty, there are so many skin stores that I didn’t really think too much about it.

When I received a notice that this store was going to be having a runway show, the name rang a bell. I was also intrigued to see how a skin brand would do a runway show too. So I decided to go and see for myself.

O…M…G……

It came almost as a shock to see the arrays of colours used amongst more normal, or should I say more “every day use” type skins. It is true that such daring and bold colours for make-up will be harder to use as they need to be matched with the right colour outfits. But if you do find a match, BINGO!! You can achieve such a stunning look for a special occasion or a runway show. Oh let me add that any of her more “every day use” skins are great too! But I must say, I got over excited over her colour lines. 😛

Congratulations Lion on your great and stunning skin line! I am sure you will do great!!

So….without further due, let me show you this great match I found with a outfit from Freda Fine Fashion and skin from Lion Skins.
