Fun And Exciting New Pants From Sascha’s Designs

Sascha's Designs, Paisley Pants Dark #2 Pants & Bliss Couture, Ruffle Coat in Grey

Sascha Frangilli of Sascha’s Designs is releasing a very hot and exciting pants series!  It’s called “Paisley Pants” and comes in four amazing “dark” colours as well as another four “light” colours, which is eight colours in total!

Obviously the “light” colours tend to have a more spring-like feel but it’s been really cold this winter and a bit of a spring feel is something we can all welcome as long as we are living in countries that have cold winters.  For me, it’s been a tough cold winter this year and I am totally in love with the bright colours of these pants to brighten up my day!

Here, I styled one pair of pants from the “dark” series and one more from the “light” series.  For the “dark” pants, I styled it with one of the newly released fur bolero jacket from Bliss Couture for a more winter look.

Bliss Couture, Ruffles Coat in Grey

The Ruffle Coat from Bliss Couture that I am wearing also comes in eight colour variations: blue, grey, magenta, noir, olive, pearl, purple and red.  With so many colours to choose from, I am sure you will be able to find one, if not more colours, that you like!

These fun and pretty pants are a great way to add some colour to our winter fashion!

Sascha's Designs, Paisley Pants Dark #2

I made the second look using a pair from the “light” colour series.  These are very fun to style too as you can easily pick one colour from the pants texture and add that colour as a point colour to your look.

Sascha's Designs, Paisley Light No.3 Pants

Here, I styled it with a shirt from Coco for a more spring look and an amazing bag from Indyra Originals that is colour change in the main leather part and straps that allows up to 729 combinations!

Casual Summer Look

I got this new hair from 69 Hair called Bell 01 that looks really natural and it inspired me to style a nice casual look for the summer season.

I loved this skirt I found in SHINE that was available in some solid colours as well as some patterned textures out of which I chose the Floral 01 style.  This soft flared design is something I would love to wear in real life.  I matched it with a pair of cute red flats with ankle straps and a straw woven tote bag from glow studio.

Some Releases From Gizza – Part 1 "Flower Children II"

I have two recent releases from Gizza and part 1 is Flower Children II.
The name, Flower Children comes from the hippie fashion that prevailed in the 1960’s when the Unites States was involved in the Vietnamese War.  The hippie movement started in San Francisco where young people wearing outfits in bright colours often with flower patterns, wore flowers in their hair and handed out flowers to passers by promoting Love & Peace.  This later spread to many other cities in the US and these young people were often called the “flower children”.  This hippie fashion later spread to other countries and became one specific fashion trend.
 Gizza – Flower Children II

This outfit by Gizza takes its name from the hippie fashion look it is based on and comes in three different colour variations.   I wore the second colour variation in brown/blue colours with a hair that wasn’t exactly hippie style but something that looked as innocent and sweet from the Japanese hair store 69 called Olivia 03.  The ribbon in this hair is colour change by a menu that drops down when you click on it.
The jewelry set is from ByKay and it is available in three different colour variations.  You can also buy a prim nail set that matches the colours of this jewelry set and contains prim nails with and without rings.  I love the chunky design of this jewelry set and it is definitely one of my favorites.

The sandals are from Kalnins and comes with a HUD that allows the different parts to change colours as well as the skin and pedicure colour.  By specifying colours of each part, you can create your own design and it’s really convenient as well as fun.

This is a really fun casual outfit set that is also fun to style!
Outfit set:  Gizza, Flower Children II
Hair:  69, Olivia 03, Noir
Jewelry & prim nails:  ByKay, Kalya Blue Set
Sandals:  Kalnins Shoes, Empress

Do You Like Dreamy Dresses?

If you do, pixivor Allen of a la folie has recently released a beautiful dress called “Precieuse.” pixivor usually designs very feminine and dainty outfits, a lot using flowers and also with solid colours. From that perspective, this outfit is a rare release by pixivor that is not a solid colour outfit.

a la folie – Precieuse

However, the gold lace that covers the entire outfit is gorgeous and luxurious and the delicate green used for the dress reminds me of a flower theme.

The outfit comes with a short skirt and a long skirt and can be worn in three different styles depending on which skirt you use as shown in the pictures. It also comes with all the jewelry worn here as well as the shoes I am wearing. The shoes that is part of this set is a blessing since it’s not always easy to find matching shoes with delicate colours like the one used with this outfit.

If you want to feel like a princess in a fairytale, this could be your answer!

Outfit: a la folie, Precieuse (all jewelry and shoes included)

Hair (worn with the short dress): 69, Myumy Hair Selection (black)
Hair (worn with the long gown): Labieja, Paulette (noir)
*Labieja hair is sold inside the Modern Gypsy store as well as inside Chantkare.
Nails: Flirts, Metal Girl Collection

Sweet, cute, lovely…..Reale

If you’re like me and sometimes want to wear sweet and cute clothes, a store by desinger Mallu Mayo called Reale is a place to go shopping! The moment you step in, you’ll scream with excitement. Lots and lots of sweet clothes and beautiful colours will jump in your eyes (ok….I mean, once the place is rezzed of course). What is so great about this store is that the outfits are sweet but never “over done” and are also stylish at the same time. I know you have come across some stores that are just cutey pies with no taste so I’m sure you know what I am talking about.

What is the best about Reale is that the prices are so reasonable. You can come out with a big smile on your face if you had 200L, which also means that if you have more, there is a high probability that you will be walking out with more than one outfit as it’s so hard to decide on just one in this store.

So today, I have the Floratta Long Dress with pansies. This is a rare long dress here as most of the outfits are short but not rediculously short as a lot of the outfits in SL are. I must admit, I really don’t like the short short prim skirts that spread out like ballet costumes. Maybe it’s because I saw too many of these as a newbie. They just look unreal and unnatural.

The Floratta Long Dress comes in four different flower colours although the base colour is always white. Purple (the one I am showing here), pink, orange and red. All colour variations are so lovely and for those who can’t make up their mind, of course, there is a fat pack available. (lol)

Outfit: Reale, Floratta Long Dress (pansies)
Bangles: Persona, Bangles (violets)
Nails: Love Soul, Nail Silver Gradation (purple)
Shoes: Phoenix Rising, Bow Flats (white)
Hair: 69, Model Hair 02 (off black)
Skin: Exodi, Genesis Candace Apple, Bouquet

A Brand New Designer On The Grid

“Fashion Nomad” is a new brand by a new designer Aleida Rhode. She opened her store only about three weeks ago and is already churning out new releases very energetically. Aleida had been one of the top models in SL and I had known her through modeling jobs as well as runway projects at Ewing Fashion Agency where we both work as a staff member and model. Through her modeling career, Aleida has seen many fashion brands as well as outfits and I am looking forward to see what she will add to the SL world of fashion.

Here is one of her new releases, Balinya Dress in rose dust. A very subdued soft pink dress that is very elegant and good for any semi-formal party. I matched it with a burgundy coloured pair of shoes and a matching rose hair accessory. I also tried white shoes, as well as similar coloured shoes but the entire image looked “sleepy” when I used soft colours only and it seemed to work best when I added stronger colours at my feel level and at the top as a hair ornament to sharpen up the entire look. I must say, however, pure white also worked too but it was a bit too predictable so I decided to show the stronger coloured match in my pics.

Fashion Nomad – Balinya Dress (rose dust)

Outfit: Fashion Nomad, Balinya Dress (rose dust)
Necklace & earing set: Twinkleberry, Delicato (rosa)
Rose hair ornament: Illusions, Hair Rose (pink)
Shoes: enkythings, Ekota-X (burgundy)
Hair: Amrita, Prim hair、Rea
Skin: MMS Light – Flower (this skin is no longer on sale and Minnu now has a new store under the name of LeLutka)

Although this particular dress I have shown is soft coloured, Aleida also has lots of bright coloured shirts, tank top as well as jackets. Even dresses too. To show one of such examples, I picked this shirt top which is a pretty fuscia coloured top with a see-through lower part of the bodice and puff sleeves.

Here I made a fun spring look using various accessory items. I could have made a sweet look with a pink shirt that has puff sleeves but I tend to like going against the expected so it was more like an experiment which was also a lot of fun.

Top: Fashion Nomad, Soroti Spring Shirt (fuchsia red)
Pants: Devilish Cupcake, Gidget Pedal Pushers Glitch Pants (houndstooth)
Belt: Sole Accessory, Sole Bend Poach Belt with Chain (gray)

New Infinity Skins (previously known as Blowpop)

Hey folks.  okay so firstly apologies for not blogging for sometime, but i’m back and just had to blog these beautiful new skins from Blowpop’s Annyka Bekkers, who has rebranded her skins as Infinity.  Beautifully hand painted, the detail in the face and body are exquisite, just look at the bum!  and the lips, oh the lips.  i’m in love.  I’ve always been a fan of Blowpop, and these are no exception, in fact i think they are Annyka’s best work yet.  Here are a few of my faves that Annyka very kindly dropped on me.  for more pics, please go to my flickr page

Japan, Japan, Japan..A Sweet Casual Look

MeteoRain” is a Japanese brand with two small stores. Designer, songe Lunasea, is currently planning to open a main store this month in March and at the same time launch new products but until then, her stores remain these two that cannot be directly reached by landmarks which makes it a little difficult to access. She still only has a few items but what she has is very good quality and I am looking forward to seeing her new designs and new main store.

One of her creations is this hoodie that comes in 5 colour variations and it can be worn by both male and female avatars. I have matched it with a sweet short denim pants and fun socks from sey and a white pair of moccasin boots from 69. The cap is also from Japan. “Argrace” is an already fairly well-known store among the non-Japanese SL residents as one that has quality items in not only clothing but hair and even furniture. The cap comes with the hair and Argrace has different hair as well as cap designs, again for both male and female avatars.

So today, I am wearing Japanese designer creations literally from head to toe. I must admit that there are very few good gown designers in Japan, but when it comes to casual outfits, they are so good with texture as well as detail. They also have some very fun items for mixing and matching too.

And this it today’s casual look all from Japan.

Having Some Fun With A Gown :-)

Ok, who said we had to be chic and elegant all the time when we wore gowns? We can have some fun too if you find the right gown for some fun styling.

“Floreale Black Gown” from Clio Pret-a-Porter was exactly such a gown. Black gowns are always the best sellers but you would wear it with an updo or some party hair. Maybe a cocktail hat to add some interest. When I saw this one, I just had to try a completely different look. The flower patterns of the black gown have stunning bright pop colours and the gown was just so sweet!

I am sure you will stand out in a crowd when you go to all these parties that are going now with the holiday season kicking in. I was tp’d to a place while I was still styling this and sure enough, I got “comments.” *giggles* The tiny hat I’m wearing is from a Japanese store and the designer, Kumii Yoshikawa has some awesome items including sweet shoes that match this hat. She has many colour variations but they all look almost like candies (this does not mean her whole store is a candy store though). Clio had a white version of this gown, so if I had gotten that one, I would have worn the white/candy pink coloured hat and shoes.

This hair is a funky hair from “Here Comes Trouble.” Of course the two notches at the end of the pony tails that stick out were not this colour. I edited them to match the pink in the hat and dress by editing linked parts. A little effort goes a long way but certainly not something you want to do when you have an event you just can’t be late and only have 5 more minutes till it starts. On top of that, you still have to choose your shoes, your jewelry, still haven’t gone to the rest room and your boy friend is asking you if he should wear a brown hair or a light brown hair.

For a happy holiday season, I think I like this style a lot. Perfect for a party with some fun friends.
