An Asian Fairy – The Dragon Gown From Champagne! Sparkling Couture

2014.2.11 Champagne_Dragon MVW China 2014_007edit2

I guess it was my sheer luck that my computer decided to break down in mid-December when I was just getting ready to return back to Second Life.  I always wonder why some things just have to happen as if it chose the worst timing ever.  😦  And with the year-end/new year holidays, which is really big in my country, coming up, there was no way I could get my PC back before the new year.

So what I’m trying to say is….I missed watching Miss Virtual World last year!

But Enzo Champagne of Champagne! Sparking Couture sent me the amazing gown he created for Miss China 2014 called DRAGON, which was exactly what I needed having just come back and didn’t have time to go shopping yet.  Thanks to Enzo, I was able to get right back into modeling mode and totally enjoyed styling this fabulous gown.

2014.2.11 Champagne_Dragon MVW China 2014_009

The skin I’m using is the Shui skin from Elysium, which Aleida Rhode made for Asian avatars and it just seemed to be exactly the right skin to use with this gown.  Needless to say, I am very happy with the results too.  🙂

And a friend Japanese creator, Hays Uriza, made the jewelry set I am wearing.  It is a mesh set and comes in gold, silver and copper.  I use this set a lot and I never get tired of it because I just love how it’s simple and yet so impressive and creates a dramatic effect.  Again, just right for a dramatic gown like this Dragon.  I will just add that the necklace can be size adjusted in all 3 dimensions so it is very easy to get a right fit for any size avatar.

2nd Post On Yomeshoujo!

The links given to Yomeshoujo seems to have been wrong. I don’t know why this happened but the coordinates changed on its own after I copy and pasted it. This has now been fixed so the links should take you to the store. I apologize for the inconvenienced caused.

OK…so this is my second post on Yomeshoujo. In the first post which I posted a few days ago, I showed one outfit that was a very creative mini dress that uses a very fun and interesting texture. The second post is another very colourful dress that can be worn in several different styles.

Yomeshoujo – TPCL

This outfit is called TPCL by Yomeshoujo. It comes with three different types of prim skirts and a chest prim part that you can use selectively to style it differently.

I used the cute nails and earrings from Candy Nails again but this time with the “secret colour” nails and green earrings you can get from the gacha machine (please read my previous post for details about the gacha machines). I also added a bright pair of stockings and shoes to bring out the fun of colours in this look.

The shoes are a recent release from Baiastice that comes in really fun colours and the buttons that are attached to the heel part really make this a cute pair to style with outfits like this one. The stockings I wore was a Christmas gift from Styles of edo that I got last Christmas so unfortunately these are not available now but I am sure you can find similar funky coloured stockings or tights if you want to create a similar look.

Baiastice – Camilla Shoes (acid green)

I should go back to Yomeshoujo now as I’ve also fallen in love with some of the funky pants she had but didn’t want to buy out her store in one visit. I like the fun to last. 😛

Mini Dress: Yomeshoujo, TPCL
Stockings: Styles of edo, Stockings For Ladies (pink)*
*This was a 6 colour set of stockings that were given as Christmas gifts last year and therefore not on sale.
Earrings: Candy Nail, #Gacha Toy Pierces 03 Green
Nails: Candy Nail, #Gacha Toy Nails 08 Secret colour
Shoes: Baiastice, Camilla Shoes (acid green)
Hair: Little Heaven, Fabienne (black)

Yomeshoujo – A Fun And Creative Brand From Japan

Phew! I hadn’t been able to post for so long with so much going on in-world and in RL. >.< But today, I was determined to make a post since I had taken the pics some time ago but never had the time to edit the pics nor to post.

I wanted to introduce a really fun and creative brand from Japan called Yomeshoujo. I am not sure what the name means because “yome” means “wife or better half” and “shoujo” means “maiden or girl“. So maybe it means “a very young wife” or “girly wife“? At least that’s what it literally means.

Anyway, I wasn’t going to make a post about its name. I wanted to introduce this brand because it is a very different type store from any Japanese brand you might know nor is it similar to any non-Japanese brand. It is indeed a store with very unique but lovely outfits that are really fun to style. I have pics for two outfits so I will make two posts about Yomeshoujo in a row.

The first one is called AnLi. The silhouette and shape of the outfit is very unique but so are the colours used and I just love the creativity of designer, youki Cioc. youki’s designs are just so colourful and the moment you tp to her store and things start to rez, you will be surprised to see the explosion of colours that somehow create a very unique “youki world”.

Yomeshoujo – AnLi

I accessorized this fun outfit with earrings and matching prim nails I got from Candy Nail. These are not on sale in vendor but they were prizes for gacha gacha, which are like bubble gum vending machines but instead of bubble gum, they contain plastic balls with small items inside. There are pretty big in RL Japan too! At Candy Nail, there were two gacha machines, one for earrings and one for prim nails.

The prices are usually quite low but the catch is that you can’t choose which item you will get. In other words, in this case, there were seven colours and one secret colour each for both the earring gacha and the prim nails gacha. So if you tried to get matching colours, you might end up with lots of blue earrings or red nails, for example. But I must say, it was fun and the cute candy coloured earrings and prim nails were worth trying my luck with a little investment.

The eighth secret colour, by the way, was a multi-coloured pair of earrings and prim nails! Too cute!

Mini Dress: Yomeshoujo, AnLi
Shoes: Stiletto Moody, Bare Robin (Wild Set), Kaleido 1 colour
Hair: Tukinowaguma, Kara A (ebony)
Earrings: Candy Nail, #GACHA Toy Pierces 07 Purple
Prim Nails: Candy Nail, #GACHA Toy Nail 07 Purple

A Napoleon Dress Worth A Buy!

Kuri Style is one of my favorite Japanese stores. It has lots and lots and LOTS of cute, pretty outfits that are lovely in colours and very sweet in designs. I can spend hours (and lots of Lindens) in her store because every time I go there, it becomes a harsh battle within myself not to click on too many vendors.

BUT…..this was certainly a must buy!

The store currently has some items marked down to TWO Lindens. Yes only L$2! You can’t choose the colour, however, since only one of the colours available will be marked down. But what can you complain with this price?

This was one of such marked down mini dresses that I bought. This olive coloured dress (although the creator calls this brown) was one of the three colour variations that also included red and blue. But this one was the best in my personal opinion so I would have bought this colour even if it wasn’t marked down.

The design is rather classic and has rich gold embroidery that decorates a nice tailored design. It also comes with the lace inner shirt and the gray tights with a paisley print that I am wearing here. I loved the texture of this tights and I think this can also be a useful item that can be styled with many other outfits.

I know Clothing Fair has just started and many of you might be spending more than you should. LOL But all the more, a L$2 outfit that looks great will be something that can satisfy your retail craving without hurting your wallet.

Of course, that is, IF you can resist not buying all the other stuff. *grins*

A Cool Leather Suit From Japan

I love leathers in RL and when I saw found tiny vendor pics with this leather jacket and pants, which I had to zoom right into in order to see what it was like, I jumped with excitement. Even with the small sized pics, I could see that these were really cool and I just had to buy them. Well being from Japanese stores where prices in general tend to be much lower than other parts of SL, I wasn’t too worried about the price. They were conveniently sold separately so anybody who doesn’t want a whole suit but wants a cool leather jacket can just purchase the jacket without the pants. Or if you want a cool leather pants, you can buy it without the jacket.

The white pattern on black leather in this set was absolutely something I could die for. I might be a bit shy to wear this in RL but hey, this is SL! I might as well enjoy this awesome design. The leather texture was really realistic too and the jacket had shirrings on the side so that the jacket would have a nice fit while still being comfortable to move in.

For boots, I wore these flat biker boots from Drawmachine. I know many people will wear heels but in my mind, a pair of leather pants that are made as stylish pants can be worn with heels but if they look like biker type pants, flat boots look a lot more cool. Of course in RL, leathers make a lot more sense in terms of safety when riding bikes. Jeans can rip to pieces in just a fall, let alone an accident and when you do wear leathers for bikes, you would be choosing flat boots. So I feel it’s also a lot more realistic and makes a lot more sense, aside from the aesthetic reason.

Cold winter should be ending soon and I can’t wait for spring when bike rides will be at it’s best!

Cute Japanese Fashion

Outfits made by Japanese designers tend to be very cute and sweet. This is one of those sweet dresses I found in “anuenue (pronounced anu-eh-nu-eh).” This dress from “anuenue” has sweet fluffy sleeves and the skirt is also a bit fluffy with gives it the sweet look it has. I was wondering if I should get the pink one or the green one but after I thought I can make a pink and green look with this, I decided to go with the green and add pink as my second colour using other items.

So instead of styling it up with green, I decided to add pink as the second colour and used a lovely hat from “A La Folie” with pink roses, a necklace with pink flowers from “Twinkleberry”, also a Japanese store, pink tights from “Gbberish” which have designs printed on it and a flat pink shoes also from “Gbberish.”

The tights came in a set of three different coloured tights all with this flower pattern and I was so excited when I found this as there are many lace stockings in SL, tights with a pattern are hard to find. It was the same with shoes. You can find a lot of high heeled shoes but very few flat ones especially if you want something that has a nice shape.

A $1L Sale For A Sweet Purple Dress – Japan

A sweet little store in Japan called “Towa” owned by Towa Lax just re-opened after refurbishment. To commemorate this, she has released a purple chiffon dress for $1L. It’s a cocktail dress made with very soft flexi parts that flow gently as you move and comes in 5 colours (only the purple one is discounted). She also released 5 prim nail items that match the colours of the dress, as well as a short bolero jacket in many colours, also designed to go with this dress. The while bolero, however, can only be won by “lucky letter*.”

I also found this pale pink cocktail dress which was available in black too. It’s a very sweet mini cocktail dress that would be nice to wear to a non-formal party. The Stiletto Moody shoes in “blush” colour were perfect for this dress and I wore jewelries with pink from Virtual Impressions. This is a jewelry store that has very nice jewelry at very reasonable prices and carries a wide range of jewelry that had “pink” in it. So one day, when I was looking for a set of pink jewelry, I tp’d here and found this set which was exactly what I was looking for.

This hair is from Sparkle Skye and it comes with flowers. There were many flower colours who could choose from to match outfits you wanted to wear them with. As this store is one that has many lovely wedding gowns, I think this hair was initially designed to be worn with a wedding gown but of course, I use it with any kind of dress as I don’t expect to wear wedding gowns many times except for wedding shows.

*Note: This is not a lucky chair. It’s a vendor poster with lucky alphabets and numbers, where you have to click on the vendor to win the item displayed if your letter comes up. This system is used quite often in Japanese sims.

Elegant "Josephine" From Styles of edo

Mami Jewell has released another elegant gown today called “Josephine.” It looks like a gown that Juliet would wear in Romeo & Juliet. Sweet and classic, with delicate lace used on the rims of the skirt. The gown comes in 5 colours. Black, red, blue, olive and purple.

I matched it with a pearl necklace that has a very classic design from PISA. It has ruby ornaments in an otherwise simple pearl necklace, that gives this rich, classic look to it. I also wore matching earrings.

A Cool Jacket From "sey"

It’s getting cold in many parts of the world (at least where I am) and I wanted a new jacket to wear when I go ride my bike or even to wear in town.

risey Arai, designer for “sey” has just released a cool unisex rider’s casual jacket! It has a hood with boa or without boa, and the hood can be replaced with a high collar all together and you can also choose whether you want the emblem in the right front of your jacket or one without the logo.

The jacket comes in 8 really cool colour combinations, some a lot bolder like black/red with white border lines as well as delicate and sensuous colours like blue/purple with blue-ish fuchsia border lines. I must say, I ended up wanting at least three!

So all those who like outdoors, grab your jacket and enjoy the cool weather!
