Kunglers "Ellis" – Elegance & Glam In Brown

Who would have thought that brown could be so glam!

Ellis” in chocolate by Kunglers Couture was honestly a surprise for me as I always liked brown as one of the colours that could make a very elegant look. The chocolate gown from Kunglers Couture was not only elegant but oh so glamorous as the top layer of the imperial skirt had the right amount of glitter with a hue of blue. The neckline of this gown is decorated with big ruffles that remind me of the ancient gowns, giving this otherwise simple gown a nice balance in terms of top and bottom volume.

What I liked most about this gown is the beautiful silhouette it created especially when viewed from the side and back which is why I just had to add one extra pic of the entire gown just so that I could show what I meant.

I just love this silhouette!

The jewelry I am wearing with this gown is from R.A. Crystal, where my very good friend, Rama Anatine, creates some of the most creative jewelry in Second Life. This set is called “Julie Set” in amber and gold which comes with a resizeable necklace, a pair of matching earrings and a hair comb. It is quite rare to see jewelry sets that include a hair comb and I think this set is perfect for those who are looking for something a little different from the usual sets that we see often in Second Life consisting of a necklace, earrings and bracelet.

and Candy Nail, #P045 Swallowtail in Gold

The gold prim nails are from Candy Nail, another Japanese store that I like very much. Nail art is quite popular in real life Japan and tend to have lots of elaborate decoration just as you see in this one that I am wearing. In real life, people either buy fake nails that they can glue on to their real nails or actually have very long nails on which they get the decoration painted on. I happen to have very long nails in real life and LOVE nail art myself. 🙂

From the BOSL "Tribute to Coco Chanel Show"

Last week the Best of SL had its BOSL Fashion Week which had a line up of great shows from August 8 through 16, with one show a day, all on different runway set ups. The finale show was the “Tribute to Coco Chanel” show where many designers joined to contribute outfits designed for this particular show, making this a showcase of various designs by different designers that were inspired by Coco Chanel.

MiamaiEuridice White

I don’t know how many I can cover but I wanted to show some of them here in my blog. In fact, there were so many splendid designs that I’m just so frustrated that I don’t have enough time to blog as much as I really wished as I need to work on the blog in between producing shows.

The first one is “Euridice White” from Miamai. Miamai is a relatively new designer who is quickly becoming one of the top quality designers. monica Outlander, who is the designer for Miamai has an awesome skill with her texture development and she also takes a lot of care in creating the outfit inworld. Her skills are still improving and every outfit she makes achieves a higher level of quality which still surprises me and makes me wonder how far she will go.

The necklace I matched with the outfit is called the Lerian necklace and earrings from R. A. Crystal which is a Japanese store with creator and designer Rama Anatine. Rama provides necklace options with one attached to the spine and the other to the chest, so in cases such as this, where another chest attachment will removesthe shoulder ornament, I love to have this option. Of course, I can reattach the necklace myself but it’s a pain especially if you want to style quickly.

The shoes are from the new shoes line just released from Nardcotix. The store is currently under construction but I am sure once it reopens, you will be able to see the whole line up of Nardcotix shoes.

And here is the video of the whole Chanel Show produced by Lowe Runo and Journey Mclaglen. Enjoy!!

Glitter, Glitter, Glitter For A Mini Dress

If you like glitter, this is a dress for you. Zalyn Bailey of “VoguE” has seven drooling colours for a glitter mini dress that is sexy, fun and charming.

This glitter mini dress comes in red, purple, blue, yellow, pink and orange aside from the green that I am showing here today. They all have a silky black ribbon running from the left shoulder with a big black ribbon at the bottom, adding an accent to an otherwise very simple design. But as I always say, the simpler the more fun in styling. You can style this in so many ways and that is exactly what I love doing.

Today, I styled it by adding a cool turquoise colour to the green by using this colour for jewelry and shoes that I wore. For my hair, since the dress is simple, tight and tiny, I am wearing a very voluminous hair that spreads out wide. It would be a terrible mistake to use this kind of hair with an outfit that has volume also as that will only make you look BIG. Here, however, you maintain a balance and that’s what you want to achieve.

With the green and blue as key colours and a big hair + tight dress, I think I have achieved a fun and cool look.
