Bliss Couture, Aliyeh Gown

One of the new releases at Bliss Couture is the Aliyeh Gown that was released in six lovely colours. I wore this at the BOSL Relay For Life event on Sunday I received so many compliments! Even our male DJ IM’d me saying he thought it was so lovely and that he wanted to give it to his partner (awwwwww how nice of him).

But yes, it was absolutely lovely! So here it is. This colour I am wearing is Champagne which I really love. It is just so elegant!

The hair I am wearing here is also a new release from Bliss Hair which designer and creator Amutey DeCuir made for the Hair Fair.

The jewelry I am wearing here is from Crystal Line where my model colleague, RENA Vita is the creator. It is an extremely flexible set where you can change the colour, texture and size with a wide variation, making it a great set to match with any look.

Two New Releases From Gizza

Here I have the two most recent releases from Gizza. The first one is called “Wild Attack“. This is complete outfit set that includes everything from outfits, scarf, shoes, jewelry and even a turban that will replace hair. Of course, you can use your own items instead of the items in this set to style this but this is a great set when you are feeling lazy or when you don’t have much time looking for items.

The next one is a completely different style of outfit and it’s called “!O“. At first sight, this outfit looks like a mermaid gown but it is actually a body suit with stockings with exaggerated ruffles around the hem of both legs as well as collar.

Very creative and elegant!

I matched this with earrings and a bracelet from the Milano Collection by Morantique. The quality of the chunky jewelry Mo Miasma creates using 3D textures that she creates are amazing and seriously worth a peep in the store.

A New Release from VERO MODERO – Cover Dress

VERO MODERO has just released a new dress called the Cover Dress in two colour versions; black and cream.

Here, I wore the black version and loved it! The lovely cocktail hat I am wearing is part of the set and I reattached it to the right side of my head but the default position is on the left. So depending on your hairstyle, you can rearrange it any way you like.

The red pumps I am wearing is also a very recent release from VERO MODERO which I really loved the deep red colour.

The hair I am using here is a recent release from Exile. I am loving how it flows and how it looks very natural. I think it’s the warmer climate but I am very attracted to natural flowing hair recently and this is the second one I post about after my post on 69 Hair. I think these are perfect hair for the summer season!

New Dress Release from Bliss Couture – TWO

This is the second new release introduction from Bliss Couture.

Another really nice dress release from Bliss Couture is the Amelia Dress. Here I am wearing the black version called Noir. It comes with a mini poncho in lace that covers the shoulders but this can be removed as well is you prefer to accessorize this with a necklace or a scarf. The gloves shown in this picture are included.

This will be a perfect outfit to go to a fashionable club or dancing!

New Dress Release from Bliss Couture – ONE

I have two really nice releases from Bliss Couture.

As part one, I am going to introduce the Kelleness Dress which will be released very soon, if not already, which is a really sexy and cute outfit. I loved this outfit and ended up wearing this for three days straight during which I received more than several IMs from both people I know as well as passers-by who commented on the outfit saying they loved what I was wearing.

The lace gloves in the pics were included in the set.

Resuming My Blog! Yay!! – MEILING, A RL Designer Who’s Crossed The Line

Wow. It’s been so long since I last blogged and I am finally resuming my blogging activity! Whoot! The reason why I had to stop blogging was because my graphic card wasn’t keeping up with the development in the viewers and every time I tried to take pictures, my screen either froze, turned black or I crashed. After several attempts spending literally hours just to take a few pics, I finally had to give up.

Now I have a new PC, new graphic cards and I’m back to business!

I had also been a bit busy recently as I was helping Meiling launch in SL. Meiling is a very successful real life designer from Trinidad & Tobago who is not only very well known in the Caribbean for her couture designs of real life garments but also known for her innovative and very creative marketing skills. She is probably the only Caribbean designer in SL and brings with her a new trend in this virtual world of very wearable and stylish designs of items we can now buy in this virtual world from her real life collection.

She is very different in the following points, in my opinion.

Meiling’s designs have been inspired from the great couture design talents from Japan with its simple yet modern designs but she has added to this, a Caribbean touch, and has created a whole new line of designs that is very unique to Meiling.
She will be following the real life sales method of introducing seasonal collections which will be retired periodically. This means, one collection will only be available until the next collection is out and her designs will not be in the store for a very long time. This is going to be very different from most of the sales direction with SL designers where most of the items will be available for a much longer period of time.
Meiling’s designs are SL versions of her real life designs. This means they will all be very realistic rather than SL unique designs with lots of fancy prims.

Today I am introducing one of Meiling’s newest releases, the Noir Mystere Dress which was an iconic dress that was actually shown in her RL collection. It is a very simple and yet very stylish and modern design that reflects Meiling’s policy as a designer that “outfits are to show the women and not the women showing the outfits“.

A New Hair! "Kay ver2" Is Released!

R’ Hair Style, by hair creator Rise Matova, has released a new updo called “Kay ver.2.” It’s a slighter bigger and more elegant hair style compared to the first version of “Kay” hair that’s great for elegant gowns. A special colour, pink brown, can be obtained by buying the fat pack.

A Holiday Limited Edition Dress From Chantkare

It’s that time of the year when many boutiques release “Christmas dresses” and none other than Chantkare did the same. BUT….it’s not a design that screams out Christmas and I can wear it any other time without feeling like the I’m wearing something totally out of season. That’s what happens with most of the so called “Christmas” or “Holiday” dresses. You can ONLY wear it during that time of the year and once Christmas is over, it goes deeeeeeeeep inside my inventory, never to come out again. This one from Chantkare, however, is a dress I wouldn’t mind wearing in January or any time for that matter, and yet it looks Christmassy if you wore it now!

The top has a one shoulder design with a texture that uses red and green. Chritmassy….yes. But the colours are relatively subdued almost reminding me of country style British fabric for furniture or curtains. I like this a lot. It’s elegant for one thing but the red lace layer that shows from underneath adds the fun and makes it a bit sexy too.

The skirt is a lacy prim skirt but there is one bit on the left that uses a different kind of lace, like flower petals, in brighter red. This adds a nice accent to the skirt and I’m loving it! What’s more nice is that unlike many limited edition dresses, this outfit is sold for only 275L. I really think this is great value for the lindens you spend.

The skin I am wearing is a Suzana skin from Lion Skins. With all the colours they have for make ups, you can often find one that matches outfits. By the way, the link I have below is for Lion Skin’s new store location.

Introducing Chantkare: A Rising Star!

I met Applonia about a month ago when I paid a visit to her store. Immediately, I fell in love! In fact, I fell in love so much that I decided, on the spot, to trash another article I was writing for a magazine and decided to write about her and her instead!

Applonia Criss, whose store is called “Chantkare“, is a brand new store that opened just this September. She, in fact, started making clothes in SL this summer! So yes, she is VERY new. However, her designs were already showing signs of uniqueness and style. Skill wise, I am sure she will get even better. But even with what she already had in her store, I could tell that she had a talent to see style and design unique but attractive clothings.

Earlier today, I visited her store again and I was taken by a huge surprise. Not only did Applonia have a lot of new designs, she even changed the whole layout, interior and displays in her store! She also had a small collection of jewelry, bags and men’s items! I asked her “Where do you stop?! I can’t keep up!”

Well anyway, I took these pics back when I first met her, which was about a month ago but I could not publish them as the magazine for which I wrote this for had the 1st right of publishing and I had to wait until the magazine was out. So now, I am introducing you the store and the pics here as I couldn’t wait to scream it out. lol You might be wondering what “Chantkare” means and so did I. My curiority defeated me and I just had to ask. She told me that it was a word that meant “stylish, fashionable, upbeat, modern and fun” all in one word and the style she aims for or likes is a bit “european”, sophisticated but always fun. And fun they are! She uses lots of colours but never too much and always adds a twist to her designs that make them look so interesting and unique. I really can’t wait to see her designs 6 months down the road. I must say, I am almost afraid to see how many items she will be adding. I said it before and I will say it again. “I can’t keep up!!!!!”

And I have MORE exciting news for you! Applonia will do her very first show with us at Ewing Fashion Agency on Dec. 14!! This will be the very first time “Chantkare” will be seen on the runway. I will post details here as the date approaches to stay tuned!
