Lovely Colours from Freda Fashion

I came across this lovely and charming outfit from Freda’s Fine Fashion. I have posted Freda’s outfit recently and I know it hasn’t been long, but I just love the colours she uses. True, sometimes I feel like wearing just black but there are days when I just feel like “I want colours!!”

I had lots of fun with the different skirt lengths she had in the set. All prim skirts come with scripted skirts which you can use to adjust its position when you sit as well as non-scripted skirts for those people who can’t be bothered and prefer to just wear it without the hassle.

Other great colours were available for this outfit too which were all as lovely. So….after going back and forth for god know how long…..unable to make up my mind, I ended up getting this colour as well as the turquoise one in the same design.

I wanted a bit of “cute-ness” to the look, so I matched it up with a sweet platformed pumps from Tesla.

A Cute Summer Casual Look – FTV Military Drama

I love FTV (Frozen Turquoise Valentine)!!!! The range of outfits Valenttina has in her store is astounding….anything from gorgeous gowns to really stylish casual looks! I have to admit, I do tend to have more of the formal outfits but I also enjoy her casual line. They are casual but yet with a touch of difference.

AND…..she has just renewed her store!!! By the way, there is a treasure hunt going on both for men and women so if you haven’t gone down to her new store yet, go now before the hunt ends!

I got this really cute casual set the day I visited her new store. She said she will launch new items soon, so maybe I should have waited but I how could I? So here it is…….Military Drama. What a great name too.

I wanted to give it a bit autumn like look too. Yes, yes, I know it’s still summer but hey, fashionistas are supposed to catch the seasons early, right? And we have to look as if it’s cool outside even if we’re thinking “damn it’s so hot”. So the colour I chose to match was purple. This hair from Bishwear Scandal comes with this cute cap but it’s originally white. So I changed the colour in edit to match it with this above-knee length socks I got at a Japanese store, “sey”. It’s a great pair of socks to wear with boots.

For boots, a dark coloured boots would look way too hot for this season, so I went with these white stompy boots and changed the colour of it’s shoe lace to light blue. It comes with a HUD where you can choose the shoe lace colour from 6 colours. Nice!

The great thing about this outfit is that I think it can be styled to be very dressy too depending on what you match it up with. Maybe I should try that next time just to see how different I can style this. That would be great fun! Oh well, for today, I just didn’t feel like dressing up, so I had my mind set on a casual look even before I wore this. So here it is, the casual version of Military Drama.

I Love Hats!

I am sure everybody has textures they like. Some like leopard skin texture (well, I guess a LOT do) and some like zebra, polka dots or simple stripes. In my case, it’s peacock feather. I don’t know why, but I am always fascinated by peacock feather.

So I had this gown from Vanity Affairs for as long as I remember. It’s always been my favorite no matter how many times I wear it!

And today, I came across a wonderful hat shop which I am ashamed to admit, I had never visited before. And I am an avid hat fan!! I am pretty sure I own a lot of, if not most of, the couture hats that exist in SL, and yet I hadn’t visited this one.

It’s called Hatpins and the hats Reghan Straaf designs and creates have such awesome detail that I fell in love the moment I saw her store. Her hats are designed to match more antique style or Victorian style gowns but simply because I probably wear “regular” gowns and dresses more frequently, I decided that I wanted to use her hats with these “non-Victorian” outfits too.

This charming hat is called Lady Isabelle and comes in many colour variations but what is the same with all the colour variation is that they all have three peacock feathers attached to the back of the hat.

Yes PEACOCK!!
So here it is…another exciting way to wear this gown that I have worn in so many different ways.

Reghan has three stores but here, I will embed the surl for her main store where she has all her hats on display. This is a must store to check out for all those fashionistas who like hats!

And of course, the skin used is my fav skin when I want to play with colours, Lion Skins. I just love the colours of eye shadow available!

Fabulous Summer Fashion & Skin!!

It’s summer. A great season to show off some colours, colours and colours!

That’s how I was feeling and was so excited when I found this outfit in Freda Fine Fashion, a store that was like a colour palette with fabulous dresses that had such awesome colours. And I am one of those that just don’t think throwing colours is good. Colours have to be used in good combination and this is what was so great about this store. Of course, there are many outfits with conventional colours too at Freda Fine Fashion, but if you want to be different and stand out in a crowd, a combination of bright colours that is done in a tasteful yet daring style is the answer.

A day or two after I found this outfit, I came a cross an absolutely great skin store that just opened a few months ago, Lion Skins. I friend of mine had told me back in April or May that her friend was opening a skin store so I did know about a new store that was just going to open. But in all honesty, there are so many skin stores that I didn’t really think too much about it.

When I received a notice that this store was going to be having a runway show, the name rang a bell. I was also intrigued to see how a skin brand would do a runway show too. So I decided to go and see for myself.

O…M…G……

It came almost as a shock to see the arrays of colours used amongst more normal, or should I say more “every day use” type skins. It is true that such daring and bold colours for make-up will be harder to use as they need to be matched with the right colour outfits. But if you do find a match, BINGO!! You can achieve such a stunning look for a special occasion or a runway show. Oh let me add that any of her more “every day use” skins are great too! But I must say, I got over excited over her colour lines. 😛

Congratulations Lion on your great and stunning skin line! I am sure you will do great!!

So….without further due, let me show you this great match I found with a outfit from Freda Fine Fashion and skin from Lion Skins.
