Bouquet Babii of Vero Modero, added an outfit with Popo on it in her new release called “SS Top Sets” that comes with jeans leggings. There are 5 variations…ones with a panther, 2 variations with cats, a zebra and finally one with Popo! So this set is called “Owl Popo”. 😀
I really wish I had this set in real life! I would so wear this!
I brought Popo to the screen and was showing him but he started to poke my screen with his beak >.< How disrespecting of him! He needs to learn manners.
And Kim Rongyu, my SL friend and model, gave me this in-world Popo! He will hunt, fly off and come back and he can even go searching for little insects he can eat. 🙂 His movements are so real so the creator must have really studied the movements of these birds. She has other birds too and I liked this owl so much that I went to her store later and bought a falcon also! But the falcon was a bit too big to sit on my shoulder so this little owl is just the right size for this. 🙂 Thank you, Kim! ❤
Things had been a bit hectic both in SL and real life and I couldn’t blog as much as I wanted to. I’ve been busy in real life since I have to move out of my house by the beginning of June, and I had to find a house that I could live in temporarily for six months. Of course, moving will not be fun with 2 dogs and an owl and finding a house that will allow us to stay only for 6 months was not easy either. But I think I found the perfect house with plenty of room for the dogs and a small garden for them to play in…and of course, a space for my car.
It was quite impossible to find such a place inside the metropolitan Tokyo area with land prices being so high but I found this house in the outskirts of Tokyo. I have always lived in the residential area of the city and it will be fun to live in the countryside for a change. I will be far away from the fashion center of Tokyo but I am so going to enjoy this 6 months and now almost look forward to it! I am sure it will be a nice change for my dogs and Popo the owl too. Of course, at this point, I am trying to shove the idea of having to move aside and push it way back into the corner of my attention because the moment I think about the process, I tend to get a headache.
Enough about my real life stuff and back to my blog. I have always loved playing with different colours, both in real life and SL. Prism, which has a brand caption “adding color to your life” did exactly that again and came up with 6 amazing colours in this lovely cute dress called “Leilani” which is a Hawaiian name that means heavenly lei.
I bought 3 myself simply because I couldn’t decide which one to buy. Now that I think of it, maybe I should have just gotten the fat pack. 😛 I would so wear this in real life…and with sneakers on bear feet too! Maybe I was already thinking about my life in the countryside when I styled this. 🙂
The other 5 colours are amazing too and each one if so different. Here is the store poster that shows the 2 other colours available.
By the way, it’s all about colours and prints in real life fashion too this season. So don’t miss the summer train and hop on with all the colours you have!
In real life, I rarely wore what is generally known as business suits for women. The office environment that surrounded me either allowed relatively free styles or when I worked for MAC cosmetics, we were only allowed to wear black but style was totally free. Wait, I shouldn’t say “totally” free because one female staff did get banned from working in a department store booth we had when she wore only a black/white scarf twisted between her breasts and tied at the back for her top and a micro-mini short pants that almost revealed her butt cheeks. *giggles* So I can’t really say it was “totally” free but compared to most work places, I always had more freedom.
There were times, however, when I had to wear what is loosely called “power suits” which were female business suits that spoke silently to the counterpart that “I am serious and I mean business!”
It is almost refreshing to see such a power suit in SL where a lot of the outfits we see are either flamboyant, extravagant, fun, cute or sexy. Coco Black Suit from Glam Dreams is exactly that suit that allows us to be serious and stylish at the same time.
I matched it with a delicate and lovely pair of glasses from Crie Style which is a rare store that specializes in glasses and monocles that no other can compare when it comes to detail and creativity. The glasses are beyond jewelry items when it comes to the fine and minute details which never stops to amaze me. I have to admit, I will never have the patience to build something like this without losing my mind or pulling out all my hair…or both!
Aren’t we all always looking for great skin? sYs Design made a skin that comes with the makeup you see here and it’s available for L$1 only at From BOSL W/Love Hunt! The hunt ends on February 28th so make sure you get it before it’s too late! You can get many other exclusive and wonderful items in the stores in the Best of SL Boulevard mall covering 2 sims. All you have to do is wear the Best of SL Magazine Readers group tag and look for red hearts in the stores and click on them to buy the items for L$1.
I also got this lovely mesh gown from sYs Design which was also sold at the store in the Best of SL Boulevard on the Renaissance sim right close to the chapel.
The jewelry I am wearing here is from a Japanese store called Haysuriza. The decoration parts you see over my right shoulder and attached to the right bracelet are separate pieces so you can wear these with or without the decorative parts. And the avant-garde boots are from Wicca’s Wardrobe but you can definitely wear this gown with regular party shoes if that is what you prefer.
The BOSL Hunt will only last three more days so go check it out before it ends!
I like casual looks because they are more comfy in real life and fun to style. When I came back to SL a month ago, I deleted all the outfit folders I had and I suddenly realized I needed more casual sets that I could quickly change into.
This was an outfit that was newly released that I found in Vero Modero. It’s called “Mei Set” and comes in different colour variations but I decided to get the grey set because for some reason, I had already set my mind to wear a coloured hair and I was looking for an outfit that will go with it and still look nice.
This outfit was exactly what I wanted. It’s casual, stylish, a little sexy (but not too much) and allows some really fun styling. Again, I tried not to make it look too girly and cute so I used muted pale purple as the accent colour.
With the coloured wig, I think this look is good for casual parties too. I hope you like it as much as I do. 🙂
