Went To MAD Agency’s “Hunger Games” Party!

The Capitol fashion by Kay Fairey

On Saturday, April 28, MAD Agency, where I am registered as a model had a party based on a “Hunger Games” theme.  “Hunger Games” is a film based on Susan Collins’ novel published in 2008 with the same title and it has become known for the couture fashion that is worn by the people in the futuristic nation where the story is staged called The Capitol.

There was a styling contest and unfortunately I didn’t win.  But it was a lot of fun styling for this and that was the most important thing. 🙂

So this was my version of The Capitol fashion using a mix n match of different outfits.

I am not going to paste a link of the place where I got these outfits….as it will be featured by the Best of SL Magazine, May issue which will be published in 2 more days on May 1.  If you are interested to find out where I got them, please read my article in this issue.  Hahaha, that was some shameless self-promotion. 😛  But on a more serious note, I did not want to spoil the fun.

Styling notes:

  • Outfit:  Please check out the Best of SL Magazine, May 2012 Issue for the store name.
  • Hat:  Bliss Couture, Beatrice Hat (Birds of Paradise)
  • Shoes:  Nardcotix, Mana Miranda Wedges (Olive)

Sascha’s Designs Releases La Seine

Sascha’s Designs has a new dress and it’s goooooooorgeous!

Sascha Frangilli, owner and designer of Sascha’s Designs has come up with an absolutely lovely dress for those who love something romantic to wear.

Sascha's Designs, La Seine in Cream

“La Seine” comes in different colours but as always with Sascha’s gowns, you can choose three different skirts, making this a very versatile outfit for your wardrobe.  The set, of course, includes a big long skirt and a slightly shorter skirt with ruffles in the upper part, which I wore here, but you can also choose to wear this outfit as a cocktail dress with a short mini skirt.  The hat I am wearing is also part of the set.

Sascha's Designs, La Seine in Cream worn with Glamorous Accessory Set by Crystal Line

The jewelry set I wore here is a new release from Crystal Line which is colour and texture change.  What I love about this set is that the gem colours are changeable into soft and mellow colours such as the pale pink you see in this picture.

An Exciting Brand New Fashion Brand, Wildchild & Muse

Wildchild & Muse, Nara Gown & Fan

Eliza Wierwight has been in SL business as a well-known furniture creator with her high quality furniture and art pieces.  If you have even been to Frolic Mills’ resident or facilities that he owns, you can see a lot of her creations that decorate the rooms.

Eliza is now expanding her talent to fashion!

I am posting two of her first releases in this blog and the BOSL Fashion Feed as the first blog posts introducing her fantastic fashion creation.

The outfits are mesh based.  But Eliza is attaching regular and/or sculpt prims to create designs that she envisions.  Eliza is a natural with art and you can see this in her outfits as well.  Every outfit she sells always comes with fun and interesting accessory pieces that the wearer can choose to use or not to use.  Some could have hats included or jewelry pieces.  With others, it could be some other objects like this fan I am holding in the pics.

Eliza’s outfits are all art pieces in wearable forms while being a delight to the eyes.  She will be gradually releasing the huge stock of outfits she has already created in an outfit corner she prepared inside her store.  So take this opportunity to take a look at her furniture creations while you are there.  I can promise that you will be deeply impressed with the attention to details and quality she achieves.

The gown I wore here is called Nara Gown, which is a name that was taken from an ancient city that actually exists in Japan.  The gown is elegant but also very bold in its design and I was pleasantly surprised at the realistic quality of the ‘obi (sash like belt)’ she has created for this gown.

Wildchild and Muse is a new brand that is definitely worth watching.  Be prepared for some fashion-gasms!

New From Bliss Couture – Gayla Top

Bliss Couture, Gayla Ruffled Top & High Waist Lace Pants

Bliss Couture‘s new release is a lovely top called Gayla which is a ruffled top.  Worn together with the High Waist Lace Pants, it looks like an all-lace body suit with very exaggerated ruffles.  The colour variation is pretty impressive too, so

Here I am wearing the white version which can be accessorized by using so many colours as the point colour but here I used hot pink.  If I use red, I am sure it will look more grown up, sexy and elegant but I wanted to create a more fun look for spring.

Great Spring/Summer Necklace from Finesmith Jewelry

Finesmith Jewelry "Mediterranean"

Finesmith Jewelry’s creator, yula Finesmith is releasing a series of jewelry that has lovely colours which will be really nice to style with the colourful spring/summer fashion!

I welcome these releases with excitement as I love to style using colours and by thinking what colours will work well together.  These chunky and colourful jewelry items will be a really nice add when I want that colour impact.

Each necklace has a name given that derives from the colour image.  And the one I have in the pic is called “Mediterranean”.  I am sure yula was thinking about the out-of-the-world lovely turquoise hue of colours that the Mediterranean Sea has when she named this.
