Lovely Dresses From A New Japanese Designer

A relatively new Japanese designer, Sayuri Cremorne, comes up with lovely and sweet dresses for almost any avatar to enjoy. Her outfits are usually very feminine and has a twist one way or another and should be attractive to many who enjoy SL fashion. And needless to say, as with many Japanese designers, her creations are very reasonable to buy.

Today I have two of her outfits to show.

The first one is called “Gold Fish Dress” which is a name so befitting with the bright hue of orange looking exactly like a gold fish tail. Gold fish has been an important part of Japanese culture just like koi fish which I see so often even in SL. It brings a feeling of peace, nostalgia, home, and most Japanese will have many sweet memories attached to kingyo, or gold fish.

So here is the “Gold Fish Dress” which is so unique that I just love it so much. The colours and patterns used on the top has a faint Japanese look while the bright orange (or maybe I should call this the kingyo orange) give it a stunning impact that makes almost anybody stop.

The necklace I used here is the same Grape Necklace from PISA that I showed in my previous post, but in a different colour that oddly matched the kingyo orange. It added fun to the look. And here again, I am using flat shoes to complete the look.

The second one is HASU which means “lotus flower” in Japanese. It is a silky mini dress that comes in white and pale pink with the entire dress looking like petals of a lotus flower. I wore this with flat shoes and with this necklace and earring set that is one of my favorites. It is a set made with pale pink sakura (cherry blossom flowers) made by sinamon Loon of si*na museum which I have worn before in my blog. But since I have never seen anything like this I think I will continue to wear and show this here. 🙂

New New New At Phoenix Rising!

One of my fav brands, Phoenix Rising just released a LOT of new items! The reason why I am saying a LOT and not giving any numbers is because I am feeling lazy today and I didn’t want to count all the new items. But that’s how many new items have just hit the store.

Phoenix Rising – Natasja’s Seduction

One of the outfits that was released that I absolutely loved was “Natasja’s Seduction.” I must say, the name of the gown was the first thing I noticed. What a sexy name to give to a gown! But after I saw the vendor picture, I knew exactly why. The gown IS sexy.

The top of the gown almost looks like a classy french corset with exquisite black embroidery on colour. The one I got was red but you can choose from red, slate, rust, aqua, purple, pink, ice and gold. Eight colour variations in all. And as with many of her outfits, Ashoka Eales, the designer, has given us variations to the style.

The first pics I have are the prim gown styles where the outfits will be a sexy and coquettish outfit to wear to any formal occasion. If this seems over dressed, you can always wear it with a pencil skirt with black stockings or as a fancy lingerie with stockings, garter and a prim tail that attaches to the back.

Either way, you are also given optional pieces of a necklace called “Key To My Heart” neckace as seen here, and a prim neck collar which reduced the ‘lingerie like look’ if you wore it with the prim gown or pencil skirt. What I liked the most about this prim collar is that it was fully modifiable. In other words, you can not only stretch it or shrink it, you can also resize it in the three directions given in SL represented by the red, green and blue colours. In other words, there is no more fuss about fitting the size to your avatar. I often wish all designers gave us this choice with prim parts as it is so frustrating when you cannot modify prim parts or even if you can, you can only resize it without changing the proportion. In other words, even the resize scripts that are often used with un-modifiable prim parts do not allow us to get a complete fit as it only resizes the whole thing, so this is so much better!

Kudos to Ashoka for giving us this resize permission!

Phoenix Resurrection by Phoenix Rising

When I first wore Phoenix Resurrection, I immediately knew why the designer named it so. It depicts a phoenix rising from the ashes.

It comes with a feathered crown, which, of course you don’t have to wear if you cannot find a hair that matches, and also luxurious feathers that cover the back of the gown skirt. If you don’t like the feathers, you are given a choice of a more plain skirt without the ornament.

What is so impressive with this gown is the top part. The upper area is full of glitter but in very elegant colours and as you go down, the top becomes very sheer as if it was using the finest of threads for the material. As you know exposing your skin, even with avatars, can sacrifice elegance in outfits making it look less classy. But this is a great way to show that little bit of skin without losing this. I have, of course, seen other outfits that use see through material but I have never seen one so sheer as if it blends into the skin.

The gown looks very slim when viewed from the front but once you see the side or back view, you notice how the gown flows away from your body and looking as if it was trailing behind.

I used a Gabrielle Gem Set in Antique White Pearls from Virtual Impressions. This is a jewelry store that makes such realistic pearls! In fact, when edo Tone wanted antique pearls to sell in his store, Chrissy Ambrose, the creator and designer for Virtual Impressions was who he turned to. So the design may be different but the pearl pieces are the same pearls that edo has in the Style of edo pearl jewelry, which I still think are the best on the grid.

The design that Chrissy came up with, however, is a little more decorative and she has a collection of antique pearls, white pearls, pink pearls and black pearls with the same design. As her prices are always very reasonable and affordable, it would be a great addition to have all four variations, as they look so good with gowns.

From The Blanc Nuit Show

On January 31 (Saturday), the Nuit Blanche Show presented by Boulevard Agency and Studio Red gathered more than 100 people at the Patch Thibaud Auditorium. This was a show featuring four designers, Ashoka Eales of “Phoenix Rising”, Nardya Rousselot of “Nardcotix“, Kieran Debevec of “Chloe (jewelry)” and Lion Jonesford of “Lion Skins.”

It was a very exciting show and an awesome runway design with Boulevard models not only strutting the runway but also placed as props in the magnificent outfits, jewelry and skins from the featured designers. I was honoured that I had the opportunity to take part in this show although I must say that lag was really bad, making the walk and outfit change extremely challenging. The show ended in a great success and I wish to take this opportunity to thank all those involved in making this possible and my fellow models who all did a great job in that aweful lag.

So here are the outfits I wore in this show for those of you who couldn’t come.

The first one is an outfit called “Nardya Noir No.1″ by Nardcotix matched with the “Time Set Silver” set from Chloe and Turquoise Pinup shoes from Stiletto Moody. The shoes was styled by Stiletto Moody who took the turquoise blue of the brooch and came up with this lovely coloured shoes. So I decided to play on the blue too ending up with a slightly blue-ish black hair and blue eyes (which I usually never wear).

The skin used in this show were all from the “Noir” series from Lion Skins which were a special edition of the new “SU” line of skins that Lion developed specifically for this show. They are, however, all on sale in her store, so if you like them, it would be worth a visit. By the way, if you think you can’t find them, try tp’ing up to the roof top.

All the photographs used here, with the exception of the last close up shots in each group were taken by Tillie Ariantho and Sharron Shumann during the show.

I will post some of the outfits from these brands on another opportunity as this post will become way too long. But I will just say that I loved them!

The next one was also from Nardcotix called “Nardya Noir No.13″ and it was actually a gradated gray gown with extravagant fur used around the whole neck/chest area. It was a very elegant and yet sweet outfit. The jewelry used here are from Alienbear who also provided jewelry for the show.

The last outfit I wore was from Phoenix Rising called Inner Wrappings (Red). Here it is worn as a mini one piece dress but you are given a choice of wearing it as you see here in the pics or as a shirt + pants set. This was a most sweet mini dress with an interesting prim skirt shape.
