Another Unique & Lovely Gown From Addoro Design

A few days ago, I posted about the Purple Zebra outfit from Addoro Design saying that it was one of the most unique outfits I have ever seen. I also mentioned how Addoro Design has a wide range of outfit categories. So today, I will post a formal mermaid dress called “Xeena” which is an outfit from Mew Denimore’s formal line. This gown is also unique and different. It has many flexi prim parts that create a vibrant movement as you move in this dress. The interesting thing is that the soft flowing flexi parts create a very feminine image while the black & white colours of the dress as well as the metal belt that sits on the lower waist adds a strong image as well.

The front cut is also a unique round shaped cut that drops quite deep and there is a triangular slit in the back which adds an interesting look to the whole design. Except for the studded black pearl earrings I am wearing in the pictures, all jewelry came with the dress in the set. I chose these earrings as I wanted something very simple since the dress and the ornaments are quite rich in design and I thought anything bigger will be an over-kill.

The hair I am wearing here was just released by a good friend of mine and also my model student in a model academy I am teaching in. She owns a store that sells photo studios, backdrop texute and hair called “Crystal Line” in a Japanese sim. She developed this hair together with a Japanese hair creator. It’s a intricately woven updo and comes with glowing pearl ornaments that can be removed so you can wear the hair with and without the pearls. In the pictures here, I have worn it so I can show you what it looks like.

I know this is a bit of a side track, but she sells packs of textures that you can load in any photo studio you have in-world for super low prices of 10L and 15L for a pack of 20 sheets of texture, so if you are looking for additional texture, her store might be worth a peep.

A $1L Sale For A Sweet Purple Dress – Japan

A sweet little store in Japan called “Towa” owned by Towa Lax just re-opened after refurbishment. To commemorate this, she has released a purple chiffon dress for $1L. It’s a cocktail dress made with very soft flexi parts that flow gently as you move and comes in 5 colours (only the purple one is discounted). She also released 5 prim nail items that match the colours of the dress, as well as a short bolero jacket in many colours, also designed to go with this dress. The while bolero, however, can only be won by “lucky letter*.”

I also found this pale pink cocktail dress which was available in black too. It’s a very sweet mini cocktail dress that would be nice to wear to a non-formal party. The Stiletto Moody shoes in “blush” colour were perfect for this dress and I wore jewelries with pink from Virtual Impressions. This is a jewelry store that has very nice jewelry at very reasonable prices and carries a wide range of jewelry that had “pink” in it. So one day, when I was looking for a set of pink jewelry, I tp’d here and found this set which was exactly what I was looking for.

This hair is from Sparkle Skye and it comes with flowers. There were many flower colours who could choose from to match outfits you wanted to wear them with. As this store is one that has many lovely wedding gowns, I think this hair was initially designed to be worn with a wedding gown but of course, I use it with any kind of dress as I don’t expect to wear wedding gowns many times except for wedding shows.

*Note: This is not a lucky chair. It’s a vendor poster with lucky alphabets and numbers, where you have to click on the vendor to win the item displayed if your letter comes up. This system is used quite often in Japanese sims.

I Love Bax Coen Accessories!

I got this notecard that said Bax Boots have come up with an updated version of the red and black ankle boots that I had already bought when they first came out. But it also said, those who had the earlier versions could come to the store to get them updated. Oh nice! 😀

So I tp’d to the store and after happily getting mine updated for free, I found some cool accessories. I knew the store had bangles from some time ago but the ones in the store now were called “Bax Flower Bracelets” and came in four colour types; brown, gray, red and special. Each of these had diamonds that could be hidden or shown and also colour change features where you can change the colours in the colour range. So if you got the red one, you could change it to different shades of red, such as bordeau, Venetian (a Ferrari red like bright red), rust, etc. Oh how nice again! The “Special” by the way, had colours like purple, turquoise, orange, etc.

In general, I love love love bangles. They add colour to the looks and are big enough to be noticed so I can play with colours using bangles. But what often happens is, I may find a red bangle but when I wear it, I find that it’s not THAT red that I am looking for. This is so annoying. But with these sets, I can probably choose the red closer to the one I am looking for!

Bax Boots also had a line-up of resizable prim belts that matched the colour of the boots available with exactly the same colour names. Here I used the “Silver Brocade” boots and belt with white bangles which was a colour that was available in the “gray colour set.” The outfit is something I had, “Lili Black” from Giusia Creations, but I used it as a short pants suit without using the prim skirt. I love the simplicity of this with only a ruffled neck and the rest being just black. It brings out the accessories in a styling case like this one where I want to focus on these accessory items.

The gloves I am wearing here came in the “Lili Black” set. But it was very well made and I loved matching them with other outfits. So to make it easier to use them when I wanted to, I just made a copy of these gloves and added it to my “gloves” folder. The hat here comes with this hair from Exxess. It’s probably meant to be worn for more RP-like looks as it’s called “Black Widow” but I like to wear this with more regular clothes like the one I have today.

Great Italian Designs From Addoro

Addoro Design is a store in the Best of Italian sim that I came across. Mew Denimore is the creative designer here who creates outfits ranging from lingerie to gowns, sexy outfits, casuals, town wear…you name it. She even has shoes to match the outfits she makes! So if you’re like me, going nuts just to find that right red or right pale purple, in this store, she has it all. You will find the right coloured shoes right beside the dress you are looking at.

Addoro is a store not only for matching shoes. Mew has some of the most unique outfits I have ever seen in SL that are also fashionable at the same time, along side her gorgeous outfits. And she also has accessories such as necklaces inside the set that are also very unique and match the outfits wonderfully. In fact, some of the jewelry she has are so lovely that I match them up with other outfits I have, using them separately as jewelry pieces.

Today I will show you the most unique outfit she had. It’s a pants suit with an impressive face graphic on the whole front side on the bodice!! The funky sunglasses that I am wearing here are also in the set. It also has a belt-like prim part around your waist with a tail like flexi piece hanging at the back together with what looked like half a skirt.

She was so unique with such great designs that I decided to cover her in a magazine article that I am working on and I got together with Mew Denimore to choose the outfits that we wanted to show. And we were categorizing them in categories such as “lingerie”, “town wear”, “formal” and so forth, and this outfit was one neither of us could categorize. So we called it “original.” It was THAT unique!

I’ll have to show you some of the more “normal” looking gorgeous things she has too, but for today, I will show her “most unique and funky” fashion.

A Cool Casual Style from "Sweetest Goodbye"

“Sweetest Goodbye” is a store that you MUST visit if you’re looking for a cool casual style. The texture designer Morphine Janick uses on her outfits are stunning and her styles are cool as well as sweet.

The short (in fact VERY short) sweater I am wearing here is a new release called “Desire” and although I have worn it here without wearing anything under it, you can also wear it in combination with shirts underneath. The amazing thing is…….this sweater is only comprised of three prim parts and no clothing layer! So it will be easy to match anything you might have in what ever clothing layer it comes in.

I initially took these pics for a magazine article I was writing but decided that I will wear a shirt layer myself for the magazine. So I decided to use these pics here as I usually refrain from using any pics I have for magazines before they are published.

The micro mini skirt worn here can be worn without the pantie showing. In the set you have a pants layer with the pantie showing as well as one that is only the skirt and the pantie is also included as a separate underpants layer as well for easier styling. Different colour skirts will all have this underpants layers that come in fun colours. They are all well thought out to give that fun look with contrasting colours.

The ankle boots worn here is also from Sweetest Goodbye as well as the skin. The boots, as you can see in the close up pic, has a great deal of details and comes in 8 stunning colour combinations. A really fun piece to match with any fun casual style.

The only different brands here are the stockings and bracelet, but the stocking was such a great match in colour and the bracelet I added to avoid being too “pink.”

“Sweetest Goodbye” also has some cool men’s items as well. A great place for high quality casual wear!!

Sweater: Sweetest Goodbye, Desire (gray)
Micro Mini Skirt: Sweetest Goodbye, Tik Tak (gray)
Stockings: Alchemy, Rainbow Stockings (hot pink)
Bracelet: Swallowtail, Volume Bracelet (green)
Ankle Boots: Sweetest Goodbye, Wonder Bird (gray)
Hair: Discord, Garou (black)

"Cabaret" Costume From Casa del Shai

Casa del Shai has released a costume that was worn by lead actress, Liza Minnelli, in a 1972 movie, “Cabaret.” The signature bowler hat look is revived with awesome texture that comes with the bowler hat in the set. It has a hat with hair (worn here) and also one without hair in the set.

Along with this set, the bowler hat with different coloured ribbons, was also released which can be purchased for a vendor placed right close to the costume vendor. So if you like the hat and want to match it with some other outfit you have, you can purchase the bowler hat alone.

For shoes, I used the new Styles of edo pumps that have an impression shine and very nice shape. In SL, there are many nice and decorative shoes but it’s not easy to find good shaped shoes that are not only good looking but simple. With this look, however, I wanted something very simple so this pair was perfect!

This could be a nice outfit for dancers who work in clubs too. Look sexy and stylish!

Outfit (includes hat, hair & stockings): Casa del Shai, Mein Herr Full Costume

azul: A New Brand From Mami Jewell

Mami Jewell, who was releasing gorgeous gowns and dresses under the “Styles of edo” brand, is now selling her outfits as “azul.” She has launched an independent store in a new location and brought back the brand that she used to have before joining “Styles of edo.” She is now selling two outfits for 100L each, one of which is the purple version of this “eWe” that I am showing you here today. This “eWe” comes in four colour variations as her new release since she opened her new store.

I matched it with a lovely scarf from Zaara. This cashmere scarf also has many colour variations as well as a more plain version in many colours too. I love the way it snuggles around your neck and falls to the front and back, looking so real and natural.

The shoes are from a brand that used to be called “Haysuriza.” These shoes have great quality and an awesome shine. They are now sold under the “Styles of edo” brand so you can find all the variations in edo’s store. “Styles of edo” owner and designer, edo Tone, says his concept is “to only sell items with good quality. And that leads to selling a dream.” And based on that perspective, he chose these shoes made by Hays Uriza to be sold in his store.

I used one of my fav skins, InZane again to complete the look.

Having Some Fun With A Gown :-)

Ok, who said we had to be chic and elegant all the time when we wore gowns? We can have some fun too if you find the right gown for some fun styling.

“Floreale Black Gown” from Clio Pret-a-Porter was exactly such a gown. Black gowns are always the best sellers but you would wear it with an updo or some party hair. Maybe a cocktail hat to add some interest. When I saw this one, I just had to try a completely different look. The flower patterns of the black gown have stunning bright pop colours and the gown was just so sweet!

I am sure you will stand out in a crowd when you go to all these parties that are going now with the holiday season kicking in. I was tp’d to a place while I was still styling this and sure enough, I got “comments.” *giggles* The tiny hat I’m wearing is from a Japanese store and the designer, Kumii Yoshikawa has some awesome items including sweet shoes that match this hat. She has many colour variations but they all look almost like candies (this does not mean her whole store is a candy store though). Clio had a white version of this gown, so if I had gotten that one, I would have worn the white/candy pink coloured hat and shoes.

This hair is a funky hair from “Here Comes Trouble.” Of course the two notches at the end of the pony tails that stick out were not this colour. I edited them to match the pink in the hat and dress by editing linked parts. A little effort goes a long way but certainly not something you want to do when you have an event you just can’t be late and only have 5 more minutes till it starts. On top of that, you still have to choose your shoes, your jewelry, still haven’t gone to the rest room and your boy friend is asking you if he should wear a brown hair or a light brown hair.

For a happy holiday season, I think I like this style a lot. Perfect for a party with some fun friends.

Eshi Otawara’s New Winter/Spring Collection

On December 13 (Sat), Eshi Otawara of Chambre de Chocolat, released her new collection which is now called the Eshi Otawara Collection. A fashion show at the Patch Thibauld Auditorium kicked off her new collection which is now available in her new store at Blumfield.

The entire new collection is inspired by Japan. Eshi’s late husband was a martial artist who had great knowledge about Japan and it’s culture and likewise, Eshi has a deep love for the culture which was portrayed not only in her new collection, but her new store which is built like an old Japanese house that you might see in Samurai movies.

The collection also has Japanese names such as “Kiku (Chrysanthemum)”, “Koi (Carp)”, “Kunoichi (female ninja)” and the new limited edition gown she launched together with this collection which she only sold 5 pieces was called “Kabuki”. Most of the outfits except for the “Blossoms” series are full of sculpt prim parts that create a very interesting silhouette while the “Blossoms” series look like dainty pants style kimino that looks a bit like a Vietnamese costume. All outfits come in various colour variations.

She now also has skins that match the outfits that resemble Kabuki theatre make-up in her store.

Rather than trying to explain the collection, let me show you some pictures and also a video that was made with the show she did on Saturday.
