Vero Modero Made An Outfit For Popo!

Bouquet Babii of Vero Modero, added an outfit with Popo on it in her new release called “SS Top Sets” that comes with jeans leggings.  There are 5 variations…ones with a panther, 2 variations with cats, a zebra and finally one with Popo!  So this set is called “Owl Popo”.  😀

I really wish I had this set in real life!  I would so wear this!

I brought Popo to the screen and was showing him but he started to poke my screen with his beak >.<  How disrespecting of him!  He needs to learn manners.

And Kim Rongyu, my SL friend and model, gave me this in-world Popo!  He will  hunt, fly off and come back and he can even go searching for little insects he can eat.  🙂  His movements are so real so the creator must have really studied the movements of these birds.  She has other birds too and I liked this owl so much that I went to her store later and bought a falcon also!  But the falcon was a bit too big to sit on my shoulder so this little owl is just the right size for this.  🙂  Thank you, Kim!  ❤

I Love Colours! – Prism, Leilani Dress

Things had been a bit hectic both in SL and real life and I couldn’t blog as much as I wanted to.  I’ve been busy in real life since I have to move out of my house by the beginning of June, and I had to find a house that I could live in temporarily for six months.  Of course, moving will not be fun with 2 dogs and an owl and finding a house that will allow us to stay only for 6 months was not easy either.  But I think I found the perfect house with plenty of room for the dogs and a small garden for them to play in…and of course, a space for my car.

It was quite impossible to find such a place inside the metropolitan Tokyo area with land prices being so high but I found this house in the outskirts of Tokyo.  I have always lived in the residential area of the city and it will be fun to live in the countryside for a change.  I will be far away from the fashion center of Tokyo but I am so going to enjoy this 6 months and now almost look forward to it!  I am sure it will be a nice change for my dogs and Popo the owl too.  Of course, at this point, I am trying to shove the idea of having to move aside and push it way back into the corner of my attention because the moment I think about the process, I tend to get a headache.

Enough about my real life stuff and back to my blog.  I have always loved playing with different colours, both in real life and SL.  Prism, which has a brand caption “adding color to your life” did exactly that again and came up with 6 amazing colours in this lovely cute dress called “Leilani” which is a Hawaiian name that means heavenly lei.

I bought 3 myself simply because I couldn’t decide which one to buy.  Now that I think of it, maybe I should have just gotten the fat pack. 😛  I would so wear this in real life…and with sneakers on bear feet too!  Maybe I was already thinking about my life in the countryside when I styled this. 🙂

The other 5 colours are amazing too and each one if so different.  Here is the store poster that shows the 2 other colours available.

Last Two Days of SAVIAD Spring Fair 2014!

SAVIAD Spring Fair is almost over ending on March 31.  So two more days to go shopping if there is something you still want!

For this lovely dress from Solidea Folie, I picked yellow out of many colours.  It was just a coincidence that I picked yellow because in a colour test I just did on facebook, the test said I was yellow.  I wonder how accurate these tests are and I’m not trusting them 100% but yellow doesn’t sound too far off.  😛  I do like yellow very much (as you can see here) and I do like pretty colours. 🙂  And the car I just got in real life is yellow too!

And the mask I wore here was a item I got from a gacha I just happened to run into.  Gachas have become very popular in SL and it comes as a pleasant surprise that this fun real life game have been accepted and enjoyed so widely by the SL residents  The only difference is here in SL, it’s the grown ups that enjoy gachas and you can get pretty cool items too!

2014.3.22 SolideaFolie Blooming Spring_4_012 It’s this time of the year that I start to feel light, happy, joyful and playful. 😀  In real life, I’d want to go outside, take my car for a spin and going to the park with my dogs becomes a true pleasure.  I must say, during winter, walking the dogs is a chore especially if the weather is bad.  lol  It’s probably not a coincidence that I also just got my new car which is yellow and it looks nice to be driving it in pretty spring colours.  🙂 2014.3.22 SolideaFolie Blooming Spring_4_011 And in Second Life, my wardrobe starts to get more playful with lots of pretty colours too.  I get inspired a lot by pretty dresses with happy colours so it was almost natural that I got attracted to this beautiful gown by Mila Tatham of Solidea Folie.  It was so perfect for my mood that day.  I wanted to style it so it will be “fluffy and light”…of course, not in a literal sense but in a “feeling” sort of meaning. Blessings In My Life – Vero Modero, So Serious Dress

About a month ago, I was blessed to have a 5 months old baby owl come into my life which, I must admit, threw my life into another animal frenzy…but surely a very happy one for that matter.

I have always had an admiration for raptors, or birds of prey, ever since I had a falcon follow me flying right close to me one day when I was riding my motorcycle alone in the mountains of Japan.  I turned my head while riding and my eyes met his.  Of course there was no words, but I was 100% sure we had a silent ‘connection’ at that moment. He flew along me for quite some distance and when he finally parted to go his way, he looked at me once more as if to say goodbye.  It was truly a magical moment I will never forget and ever since that day, I have developed this special admiration and love towards these amazing creatures.

OK, my owl, Popo, is not EXACTLY a falcon.  He is only about 20 cm tall (a little over half a feet) and he is hardly as fierce-looking as a falcon.  I must say, he is more comical and he makes me laugh just looking at him because of his big round eyes that make him look as if he is always surprised.  And more than anything he is a blessing.  When I take him to the park for a stroll, he makes everybody happy.  I think he has that special power. 🙂

So when I saw a notice in my group about a new release from Vero Modero that had an eagle printed on the entire dress, I simply dropped everything I was doing and 20 seconds later, I was already in the store, ready to surrender my wallet to this amazing outfit.

The bag I have here was another timely blessing!  Right after I styled this with a black shoulder bag, my great friend Kimmera Madison, owner and creator of Tres Beau, sent this bag to me as a gift.  She made this one-of-a-kind Pikachu bag for me and as you can see, it even comes with a label that says “Kay”!  Thank you, Kimmera, for this cute bag!  I just love it! ❤

I thank all the wonderful blessings I have the pleasure of encountering in my life.  🙂

A “Heartbreak” I Love!

Nobody likes a heartbreak, but this is one “Heartbreak” that I knowwwww most women will welcome with open arms!

Tres Beau by designer Kimmera Madison released “Heartbreak” on Valentine’s Day.  But you can see that this is not a gown that is so Valentine-ish that it can only be worn on February 14th.  It looks amazing on any other day of the year!

It comes in three colours; red, fuscia and off-white but I chose this fuscia one because it is not easy to find a nice ‘pink’ gown.  I think fuscia is a colour that can look very stylish but since it’s a strong colour, if you go in the wrong direction, you can end up looking either too childish, too girly or ‘a bit too much’.  If you look closely, the pink used in this gown is not a flat one tone of pink.  It’s actually a mix of different tones and that’s what gives this gown a deeper and sophisticated look.

I used a multi-pale coloured jewelry set by Kunglers Extra just to break the pink a bit while adding some accent to the otherwise total fuscia look.  I also wanted to avoid the look being too girly so I chose to go with a smokey makeup with a slight tint of pink for the eyes and a very pale pink for the lips.

Overall, I’m very happy with the result and I think I was able to make the exact look that I was going after.  Now I’m happy and I can go back to sipping my favorite coffee!

An Asian Fairy – The Dragon Gown From Champagne! Sparkling Couture

I guess it was my sheer luck that my computer decided to break down in mid-December when I was just getting ready to return back to Second Life.  I always wonder why some things just have to happen as if it chose the worst timing ever.  😦  And with the year-end/new year holidays, which is really big in my country, coming up, there was no way I could get my PC back before the new year.

So what I’m trying to say is….I missed watching Miss Virtual World last year!

But Enzo Champagne of Champagne! Sparking Couture sent me the amazing gown he created for Miss China 2014 called DRAGON, which was exactly what I needed having just come back and didn’t have time to go shopping yet.  Thanks to Enzo, I was able to get right back into modeling mode and totally enjoyed styling this fabulous gown.

The skin I’m using is the Shui skin from Elysium, which Aleida Rhode made for Asian avatars and it just seemed to be exactly the right skin to use with this gown.  Needless to say, I am very happy with the results too.  🙂

And a friend Japanese creator, Hays Uriza, made the jewelry set I am wearing.  It is a mesh set and comes in gold, silver and copper.  I use this set a lot and I never get tired of it because I just love how it’s simple and yet so impressive and creates a dramatic effect.  Again, just right for a dramatic gown like this Dragon.  I will just add that the necklace can be size adjusted in all 3 dimensions so it is very easy to get a right fit for any size avatar.

Desir ‘Mia Dress’ and Elysium Shiu Skin

I don’t have a photo studio yet so I decided to take a stroll in the beautiful Angel Manor Estate sims and take location shots.

This is a dress that is so elegant and delicate that I almost feel like I am wearing a dress made of feathers.  The vertical lines of this dress give it the simplicity that I like too.

I have mood swings when it comes to fashion and this couple of days, I’ve been extremely attracted to elegant dresses that are simple and don’t come with many parts or components.  The same goes for makeup.  Lately, I am not in the mood to wear lots of strong colours so here, I kept my makeup very simple too.

The skin I am wearing is a new skin from Elysium where creator, Aleida Rhode, made Asian skins for the first time.  It captures the essence of Asian features and I absolutely loved it!  When I started to model, I searched for Asian skin for a very long time but was never able to find one that I liked…until this one!  Congratulations Ale for a great skin launch!

I hadn’t been able to contact and apologize to all my friends who deserve an apology so I decided to post my apology to all those I had caused an inconvenience and to all those dear friends who worried about me while I was gone.  I never intended being gone for so long but my real life had undergone some major changes and I ended up unable to log in for longer than I expected.

I am really so sorry!

But I’m back!

I will need a bit more time to get settled.  Thanks to the free Linden Home I had, I can change clothes without having to hide behind bushes like I used to do when I was a newbie.  And I cannot find enough words to thank my dear friends who have offered me places to live, their wonderful creations and any help I might need to get back on track.

I have come back ready to face many complaints for “disappearing” so abruptly and I am aware that I deserve complaints.  But so far, I have heard nothing but warm welcome backs with open arms…and for that, I am ever so grateful that I am blessed with such wonderful, amazing and patient friends.  I am not going to mention any names but you all know who you are!

I only had one designer threaten me by saying “if you do it again, I will boom your phone!  I still have your phone number!” while she sent me her creations saying “you shouldn’t be outdated!”.  Again, you know who you are.  😛

THANK YOU ALL!!  And again, I am so sorry!

I don’t know where my SL adventure will take me this time, but for now, I will be helping Reign Congrejo, the new owner of the Best of SL, which I still consider my home.  I will not assume any head roles in any division of BOSL as Reign already has a wonderful team of managers in place.  I will stay in the background and help out where I can.  Reign is a business woman in real life who knows how to run a business.  It hasn’t been long since I came back but I am already very confident that she will manage to pull off this business that my dear friend and ex-boss, Frolic Mills, have given birth and nurtured.

I wish to take this opportunity to extend a big and special thank you to Frolic Mills for picking me up when I was still a newbie model with no model agency to support me.  I grew up with BOSL and had an amazing experience full of adventures and fun with you.  I would not be here if it wasn’t for Frolic and BOSL.

I will start blogging again once I have a home I can rez my photo studio again and I look forward to seeing what Second Life might have in store for me.  Last but not least, I thank all my dear readers for following my blog!  I will be back here also very soon. 🙂

Hope For Emilia Exclusive – Elmont Fashions

Introducing yet another lovely exclusive item you can get in the Hope For Emilia charity fashion event, today, I am introducing a really nice summer dress exclusively made for Hope For Emilia by Aubry Brinner of Elmont Fashions.

The concept of today’s look is a relaxed casual weekend day strolling the streets of Aoyama, a high fashion area in Tokyo.  The dress, hair and bag used here are all mesh items but the bag comes with a mesh and non-mesh version as well as one with and without poses.  Here I am using the mesh bag without any bag-holding pose.  The jewelry set of a pair of earrings and a ring is also an exclusive item released for 100% donation by House of Alexander.

I wanted a very simple style mainly using monotone colours and I’m quite happy with the outcome. 🙂
